This was my 3rd stay with Truelove Guesthouse and I have booked again for twice in October. The apartments are in a clean, quiet location, close to all local amenities. Beautiful, spacious and airy, an excellent place to stay for a long or short break....More

We stayed in a property a few minutes walk from the little store that you check in at, the guy who checked us in walked us there. We had a little apartment to ourselves with a loft bed accessed by a steep ladder and a...More
I booked this for me and my girlfriend for valentines day and it did not disappoint. We checked in through the owner who's based in the antiques shop over the road from the property and got our keys. I'd booked the standard room but we...More
I recently stayed 3 nights at the guesthouse. I made arrangements to meet the operator's at their store on Prinsenstraat and pick up the keys and pay cash for my stay-which was their preference as they were reluctant to accept credit cards. We then walked...More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.

I emailed the guest house after booking to ask what room I was allocated, then I searched for that address on Google Maps. We went in September 2014 and we were booked in "Herengracht 57" which had a great central location, just a 2 minute walk from Dam Square. The room itself was brilliant for myself and partner (both 27), it wasn't huge but accommodated our needs perfectly (room included nice double bed, tv, fridge, small dining table/chairs, free wifi, space to keep your belongings... and also had private bathroom). We were basically staying in our own little apartment and felt like locals! There wasn't a reception desk with room service but we didn't need any of that (the guest house owners are just a phone call away but we had no need to ring them). Next time we go we'll be asking to stay in Herengracht 57 again! Enjoy your holiday :-)
