Ideal place for first-timers in Amsterdam. Comfortable accomodations at reasonable rates whose curious sense of history makes it an interesting venue in itself. The oldtime photos, its library and over-all ambience gives a visitor a unique experience of Dutch culture and history. Besides the relaxing atmosphere of its in-house restaurant, the service crew and staff are very friendly and accomodating....

I use a wheelchair, and while I have stayed in more expensive accommodations during my travels on business and pleasure, I have never been better served than I was by each and every member of staff at the Lloyd Hotel. My needs, while not unique, are unusual given the nature of my disability. I'm happy to report that every one...

I stayed here for a conference workshop. I had a good look at reviews before I went and opted for a 3 star room, since no 2 star rooms were available and I wasn't keen on sharing a bathroom. This hotel is a reminder that the European star system is very different to the rest of the world! On arriving...

You must remember that this hotel has no extra service at all. You carry your own bags no matter what class of room you reserve, you serve your self for breakfast and you go down stairs to ask for anything you might need, in person, to the front desk. All of the staff (with the exception of the night front...

Okay, nice and interesting design, staff in restaurant is great. But... I had the room 111 situated in front on a night club: I was awaken at least 5 time a night by drunk crying people. And when it was time to sleep in the morning, I noticed the curtains where transparent. When I reported the problem to the staff,...

The staff at this hotel are incredible. I have never had such great service in my many years of travelling. No matter what you ask them they will spend as much time as you need helping you to find the answer, and always with a genuine smile. They never make you feel like you are asking too much and will...

I had a very positive experience of the Lloyd Hotel - the place has a lot of character and the room had a great view of the waterfront. The shower and bed were both particularly good - the shower had ideal height, temperature and jet stream, the bed superbly comfortable. The room was small but comfortably cosy. The staff were...

We spent a long weekend in the Lloyd Hotel, which is a really unique place full of contemporary Dutch design. We had two room categories, first a 5 star room, later a 3 star room. This is because we booked last minute and no room was available for the whole stay. In the end we liked to change rooms, because...

I stayed at Lloyd Hotel with my parents. This hotel is special, very much oriented to design and art. Although my parents are not so young, they enjoyed very much this uniqueness. The only worried point were the location. But the tram no, 26 and 10 run direct in front of the hotel, and we did not find any inconvenience....

I think we had two stars room but actually it felt like it's a cheap hostel one. It was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable but there were few things that were overlooked. We had an old TV with non-working control panel, the bulb above the bed was broken and the cleaner was forgetting to bring new shower...
