The hotel had good service. Close to the tram station so it was easy to move around. Not too far from the city so a bicycle was very convenient mean of transportation. Clean room and very good bed. But NO AIR CONDITION!

I spent a little more than a week backpacking around Europe. The Lloyd Hotel was my first stop on the trip. The hotel was very clean, bright and modern inside. The restaurant was very convenient after having walked around all day. The art installation above the restaurant was fun to browse. I booked a room with a shared bath, but...

Arrived at the hotel to find out we had to put down a 600€ deposit for the 2rooms we had already paid for. Wasn't aware we had to do this. Staff were pretty rude, seemed annoyed to have tourists staying in there hotel. Ordered food in the restaurant which took them 20minutes to make an omelette and a coffee. A...

We, a family of four, 2 adults and two children, had booked a 4 star room. We were initially given a room which had the toilet facilities separating the main bedroom from the outer room which also doubled as the kids bedroom with extra beds. The toilet facility cum dining area(? with a table and a chair) in the center...

We sayed one night in this hotel nd we would have liked to stay longer. Such a nice hotel with many design elements that it is almost a museum. History is rather dark but the hotel is rather light. We stayed in a 1 start room (shared bathroom) but it was worth it.

It was great to stay in Lloyd hotel because of the very friendly people who work there. The room was good with a big bad and a good bed. After our stay we had a great high tea with 25 people in the restaurant! The restaurant is very nice too!

I recently stayed 3 nights in a three star room at the Lloyd hotel. The hotel is definitely the most unique hotel I have ever stayed at. The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was also decorated nicely. The room could definitely use a fresh coat of paint as there was many scuffs on the...

A friend recommended this place, and I am glad we went. Rarely have I stayed in a building with this much history of migration, detention, and geography, even if much of it was rather dark. The current reincarnation is quite amazing: bizarre, arty, airy, and original rooms are the norm, and as far as I can ascertain, no two rooms...

Costumer service - terrible: We had to wait long time to get served at the restaurant, we often felt that we had been forgotten and had to remind the waiter of our order(s). The restaurant holds business events and it seemed that these customers were prioritised. The bar manager was quite dismissive in his attitude - when asking for boiling...

One of a kind hotel with a unique atmosphere and setting. Close to the city centre of Amsterdam and even closer to the central train station. Comfortable beds, friendly staff and surprising elements in every room and hallway you can find. Prices are very reasonable given the location and overall experience of the stay. Perfect starting point of your holiday...
