Small but comfortable room. Bathroom shower had good pressure. We were warned that facing the street could be noisy with the trams but it didn’t bother us. The air conditioning was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is ideal.
-The hotel room was really too small and it was difficult to have space for my normal size suitcase and for me in room same time, the price to quality ratio was not right, breakfast was really modest !
We decided to add a night in Amsterdam at the end of our stay in The Netherlands. We chose Ibis Styles because it was close to the Central Station where our train would drop us off and where our bus transfer to our ferry was located. The entrance to the hotel is not immediately apparent (we walked past it!) but the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a small room and it suited our needs for one night. The shower was great. The room was very quiet and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The hotel was happy to look after our luggage while we explored Amsterdam before catching the transfer bus to the ferry. We did not book breakfast, so can't comment on its value for money. For that reason we give it four stars rather than five but would be happy to book it again in future.…
This hotel is in close walking distance to train station, canal cruises, hop-on bus stop, shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in a single room which was clean but tiny and sparsely furnished. There was only one electrical outlet and no usb charger port. Room lighting was poor and switches located in awkward place on headboard. Had to kneel on the floor to use the room safe. Noise from hallway and plumbing from other rooms was loud, needed earplugs to sleep. I didn’t try the restaurant.
My partner and I visited this hotel based on online reviews, with our main focus being on location and cleanliness. We booked a 'double standard room', but were not allocated the room advertised/paid for but rather, we were given the 'small double room'. Furthermore, the room was not clean - we found hairs all over the bed linen, in the towels and the portable heater was full of dust bunnies. The lights were flickering, and in a room for two people, there was only one plug. Upon complaining, the receptionist said we would be allocated a bigger and better room the following day, however the situation of Day 2 was repeated, as we were allocated the exact same room but on a higher floor with the same cleanliness issues. We complained further, with the receptionist telling us that a significantly larger room was not going to be available till Day 3, which we could move into. When Day 3 arrived, we went to get the third room which was in fact significantly larger, however this was not without Management arrogantly insisting that what we had initially been given was in fact a standard room (completely contrasting the photos online and the third room we were given). This was slightly better in terms of cleanliness, though hairs were still everywhere. The only good things about this hotel were the location, which is in fact very central and the breakfast selection and breakfast staff.…
