We had a great stay at the Crown Bed & Breakfast. Angelo is an excellent and responsive host. He ran out at the slightest hint from us, to get us an extra European electric plug. The room and ensuite bathroom were very comfortable, and modern. A Nespresso coffee machine was not only in our room and but also in the...

We had a lovely 2 night stay in this B&B. The location was spot on! Easy to get to from the train station. Canals only a few mins away, with all the lovely shops and restaurants. The host (Angelo) was so kind to us, very welcoming. Comfy beds. Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice! Could not have chosen a better...

Angelo was our perfect host for 10 days in April. Our room and bathroom were huge by European standards! Well appointed and clean. We made our own breakfast from food provided, lots of variety. Eggs, oatmeal, ham, cheeses, croissants, tomato, cucumber and many varieties of fresh bread. We were able to entertain friends for drinks one evening in the common...

From first meeting Angelo was great. We arrived early but he allowed us to use the room and facilities pretty much instantly. He sat down with us and went through the best parts of Amsterdam to visit, then left us to settle into the room. It was a lot bigger than expected, with a TV, fridge, kettle, coffee machine and...

Just arrived back from spending 3 nights at the Crown Bed and Breakfast. We were greeted by Angelo who was on hand whenever we needed him which to be fair wasn't at lot as all very well organised. Stairs leading up to the rooms and kitchen/dining area are steep but didn't cause us any problems. Angelo will help with bags...

The Crown B&B was really excellent! The host is a really great and kind guy. The rooms are very cozy, there are even a coffee machine, a water boiler/ tea bags and a fridge with water and juice in the room. The bathroom is also big enough with shower gel, a hair dryer and many towels. The highlight was the...

We stayed here for 3 nights as a present for my boyfriend's birthday. We had the best of time. Very spacious and comfortable room, great host who goes out of his way to help. The juccuzi made our stay very luxuarious. Some mornings we found it hard to leave as the room was so cosy. The location is great, short...

Two lovely rooms in a fab building which is very central. Angelo is helpful and friendly, it has a bit of style and is an easy walk from the station. The kitchen is lovely - everything is provided so you make your own breakfast. Not recommended for older couples due to the stairs. Otherwise lovely. Try the nearby Thai restaurant.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
