I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with very good facilities. The bed was very comfortable which is always a bonus. Continental breakfast so that is to be as expected but a good start to the day none the less. You can walk to the city centre in about ten minutes and the train...

The only advice I can give is... DO NOT STAY HERE. They will steal money from your room. The cctv doesn't work so you will not be able to prove it. Maybe I shouldn't have been so naive to leave money in my room but I was gone for such a short amount of time I really did not think...

Comfortable bed but that's all I can say about this place! Windowless room is terrible!!! Smell of weed and sewage lingers everywhere! I would say it's more a hostel with a private room than a hotel! We must say that the location was AMAZING though!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, the rooms are small but very modern and clean, breakfast was basic but good location is super, not too central which is very noisy in Amsterdam but still close to everything and also very close to the central train station which was very easy to find! Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights, location is very central it is a 5 minute walk to Central Station, and its walking distant to all main touristic places and museums. The hotel is not very handicapped friendly, they have a lift but does not get to all the floors, and the stairs are quite small and tiny, keep...

I visited this hotel for 2 nights on a trip with my friend, it is in a perfect location close to everything but yet in a nicer quieter area, didn't even take us 10 mins to walk into centre. The staff are lovely, we had a superior double room which was absolutely perfect and the bed was soooooo comfy!!. Breakfast...

Booked this hotel thru Expedia, unfortunately wasn't aware that the room was smaller than a walk in closet, ok for 1, but other than that, nothing to write home about, a little disappointed especially with the price you pay, Was downstairs, staff was helpful with carrying by bag down and then up at time of check out. Breakfast was very...

Stayed in the triple room in the City Hotel Amsterdam. Really nice room, plenty of space and very clean and modern. Super bathroom and great shower. The room is in the basement so very little natural light but then we were only sleeping there so no problem with that. And the beds are so comfortable. Good WiFi as well. Staff...

The staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending places to go and giving us helpful information. Room very small and facing other people's windows. No AC just a small fan in cupboard and no fridge/minibar. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. Great location, 5 minute walk from red light district and everything else touristy very walkable distance, we didn't need to...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
