It's a terrible hotel. Don't rent this hotel. It's dirty, noisy, unsafe. Lockers don't work so nothing keeps your stuff safe. Staff is mean. I couldn't sleep well and the whole trip was like a disaster

This place is like a jail cell. Literally you need to climb a ladder to get to the room. No elevator. No tv, no lobby to enter rooms. You enter off the street. Staff is awful. I would give this so called hotel a 1/2 star. Be careful, they changed the rates last minute too. Very unprofessional business and poor...

No way to come back...no wi-fi, no telephone, no security, neither for the bags once you check out. no TV, just a CD looping. Sink in the room with a big leakage. Mice and cockroaches were my friends in the night. Breakfast was not possible by any means. People friendly in the lobby (basement) to cover the very bad conditions...

on the positive side, the location is good, pretty clean, and the staff is nice. the only downside is it has no lockers, and the private storage boxes are too small to even fit in a small laptop. But overall I would recommend it

They rooms had beds crammed in them. There was no way to get on to the top bunk beds. There was notnoutlets to charge your phones except for two spaces. (There was ten beds in the room.) the bathrooms were disgusting. We ended up finding a better place to stay.

Dirty bed. Stain on pillows and sheets. Tiny room with 3 beds spaced 10cm hardly. Ultra soft mattress that hurts the back. Unfriendly. Pay 5% fee for payment cards! However the streets around the hotel are pretty.

The hostel is 5 minutes walking distance from Leidseplein, closeby a canal. On the other hand, the room was very dusty and sheets were a bit dirty (I stayed in a two bed room with my friend). The curtain was so dirty that we did not touch, also the heater in the room. The corridors smelled like cigarette smokes although...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
