The location is great , very close to the city center and the Restaurants BUT the hotel does NOT deserve the price we could pay for it . When you book the price comes with the breakfast and it's not a choice , so you get very poor one even the butter was already expired, and when my husband gave...

We booked an air bnb who canceled last minute. I called into 10 hotels and this was the cheapest with private bathroom. All in all it done the job, was reasonably clean and had an elivator, which was conviened for our luggage. However I did wake up in the middle of the night, I thought I saw a rat beside...

Had a look at all of the budget hotels that were located in the heart of central Amsterdam and found this to be a good option as only fractionally more expensive than cheapest options but a huge improvement on cheapest options. Other reviews mention mice and dirty rooms but I found it clean. Is minutes on foot to anywhere as...

Where to begin, I cannot describe in words how passionately I would advise you to NOT stay or even think of staying at the Season Star Hotel in Amsterdam (if you could even call it a hotel). This hotel is not a hotel, it is a money laundering scam of a business that doesn’t know the first thing about hospitality,...

We were a group of five friends who came over on a holiday to Amsterdam. After our first hostel falling through we had no other choice but to find last minute accommodation and this was available. First of all there was NO HOT WATER what so ever in the shower and it was barely even coming out of the shower...

Don't know where to star but I can tell you the worst hotel ever. how it has 3 stars I don't know. The beds were old and broken with urine and poo stains. Mice playing on the table and all over my bag and clothes. Smell of damp and urine coming of the carpet as well as being well sticky....

The good thing was the location. Towels and sheets were clean. The room was very, very cold and everything else in the bed except sheets were filthy. Warm water in the shower ran out in seconds. Even the location is not enough to make this hotel worth staying. And this is not said lightly. The staff appeared not to care...

    Staying in Centrum

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
