What a find . We were both greeted by extremely friendly smiling faces who made you feel extremely welcome . In Amsterdam you have to pay a €3 tax per day so just be aware . The hotel is on the bus route which takes you directly into Amsterdam Central station.
It was my bestfriends birthday and there was a lovely gesture of a bottle of prosecco and a bar or chocolate thank you . We found the room perfect for us the rooms were spacious and airy and the bathroom was equipped with soap and shower Gel . We found there was hardly any noise heard . I would reccomend this hotel to anyone

Arriving at this hotel is very simple if by train. From the Central Station about a 15 minute ride or from the Amsterdam Sloterdijk about a 5 minute ride, all one needs to do is take bus #22. The bus will stop within a five minute walk of the hotel.
I was greeted by smiling faces from the staff, a quick and friendly check-in and other information I needed to ensure a pleasant stay. Being an Accor gold member I was given a voucher for a complimentary drink at the bar. The lobby is very spacious with comfortable seating if wanting to visit with friends or just sitting and relaxing. There is even a self service shoe shine machine located next to the elevators
The room was on the 6th floor, very large and clean. A large comfortable bed and an
immaculate bathroom. All the amenities one needs, a flat screen TV, safe, and great WiFi.
Breakfast was served buffet style and included a large variety of foods. Something for everyone. The breakfast was included in the price of the room.
Check out was a breeze. An invoice was prepared, sent to me by email, all I had to do was drop the room key at the front desk in the designated room key box.
This was an extremely pleasant stay for me. Kudos to all the staff at this Ibis Hotel

We organised a last minute stay in Amsterdam on a beautiful spring weekend. Ibis Amsterdam City West was the only solution left in the city and we booked a business guest room for 250 euro/night without breakfast on Accor hotel official website. We were very disappointed by the size of the room: we had the impression it was a capsule room size. The 1,5 sqm boat cabin bathroom is made of plastic with the toilets between the shower and the sink allowing one person at a time. Greyish small bath towels and disposable (torn) plastic cups. The queen size bed with a thin mattress was just good enough because we walked a lot in the city and were tired. The view from the small window is a commercial area, not Amsterdam city as advised on the website. Not enough room for luggage and minimalist furniture: only one hard chair for 2 guests, a small desk. Fast free Wifi. In room safe and coffee set. Hygiene (Covid-safe), cleanliness and maintenance were in the average. There was a leakage from the ceiling on our floor and the basin to collect water was not emptied during the entire weekend. Young staff helpful and adapted to generation Z customers. The location is convenient, outside the city center but reachable by bus in 20 min. Parking is free on week ends.

I'm being generous when I say this is maybe a two star hotel. The room was furnished with a small desk, a plastic chair, and two of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever experienced. No tissues in the room and no other amenities. We arrived early due to air scheduling and had to wait hours for a room (not their fault). On previous trips, at other hotels, we were offered breakfast. Not this hotel - you want breakfast, that's 17.50 Euro per person. The woman at the desk when we arrived was pretty rude but the other staff personnel were gracious and kind. The hotel is remote from the city center but there is good transportation, both a bus and the Metro are nearby. That said, this is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone.

Booked because we just wanted a cheap hotel. Check in was quick room was clean and tidy nothing special but wasn’t expecting it to be. 10-15mins from the centre on the bus (number 22) bus stop out side. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar bought a bottle of water cost 5euro so best going a shop if you want anything for in the room.

Do yourself a favor and do more research before booking Ibis Amsterdam City West.
•The air conditioning does not work
•The 20euro per person buffet breakfast is
comparable (perhaps sub-par) to any
complimentary hotel breakfast, as is the
3 euros coffee/tea.
•Lobby bar is stocked with a good selection
spirits, beer and wine. However, lacking a
bartender to mix a proper cocktail.
•Comfortable bed!
Overall, Ibis Amsterdam City West is overpriced for what it offers. The stylish, hip vibe is nothing more than a facade. I left feeling duped by the advertisement of Ibis Amsterdam City West.

The hotel is a bit on the outskirts but is effectively connected to the city center by Amsterdam's efficient transport service (there is the terminus of Metro lines 50 and 51 just a stone's throw away while in front of the hotel there is the fast bus line 22).
The breakfast is really very rich and varied but it is best to purchase it when booking the room because otherwise it is very expensive (around 17 euros per person).
However, the hotel also has shortcomings and defects that cannot be minimized: the rooms are very small and the daily cleaning and tidying up is not impeccable. The kettle which is now present everywhere and even in low category hotels is also missing. The very minimal bathroom is blind and the extractor does not work. The supply of towels per person is insufficient, consisting of only one shower towel and not even a particularly large one.
The dinner service in the hotel for those who want to dine on site and not go out is almost non-existent on Saturdays and Sundays!!

The hotel is very suitable for city trips, among other things. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very good for a 2-star hotel. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is just big enough. The laminate flooring is to be praised as it is very hygienic to maintain.

Just stayed in this hotel and at first was a bit apprehensive as the hotel is a bit out of the center of Amsterdam. However I need not have worried as there is a regular metro route only a 5 minute walk from the back of the hotel. If you buy the 48 hour pass, travelling across Amsterdam is very affordable.
The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I also tried the Ibis Kitchen, pizzas were delicious and again reasonably priced.
However for those who may prefer fast food, there is a Burger King next door.
Plan to come back soon.

Really convenient location unless you absolutely need to be right in the center of everything. The hotel is a 200m walk to the closest underground station (Isolatorweg) which was very convenient, but it was about a 30 minute commute into the city center. Very easy train ride with just one change (Zuid). The hotel parking was full when I got there which I sort of thought they'd have enough for the guests, but you can park in the front for 15 euros a day and free on weekends.
As for the room, it was very comfortable and I slept quite well during my stay. My only issue is that there isn't any instant coffee or tea, forcing you to go to the cafe downstairs (or the conveniently placed BK next door). The linens aren't the softest, but the bed was very comfortable. If you want to stay in Amsterdam and be away from the crowds, look no further.
