I think everyone must live this kinds of hotel style in Amsterdam cuz this architecture is typical!
however, if for business trip and have quite heavy luggage, it may not be suitable for u as it has no elevators and steep stairs only.

My room was on the third floor facing the street - the two bars on the ground floor are very busy and loud - evenw ith the window closed, fan on, and earplugs in, it was still audible. Perhaps a room in the back would be ok... More
