Good choice for budget travelling when you do not want to sleep in dorms. Perfect place for backpackers, 5 minutes from Centraal Station (trains, metro, trams, busses and even free ferries, 20 minutes to Schiphol airport), 2 minutes walking from the Red Light District, in the very centre of historical part of Amsterdam. Coffee shops (even if I am not...

Location is great. Very close to Daam square and Amsterdam Centraal. The street has a lot of good bars and shopping places. Rooms and common washrooms were very clean. Simple Breakfast. Free wifi. Staff was helpful. Overall good stay.

The owners are very nice and polite. The room standard is ok but would prefer it to be cheaper. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is very simple, it is included an egg, bread, jam, butter, cheese and coffee or tea. The location is perfect, in city center! It's a good hotel for people that aren't so specific about comfortabilities,...

Lovely stay at this B&B! Great price for fab location, free wifi, nice room and decent breakfast included. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Only downside is the early check out but it is understandable that this isn't always possible! Would stay again!

Yes, it has flaws. It is cheap though and in the city centre. I personally don't spend time in the room on vacation, so for sleeping, location and price it is very good. Breakfast could be a bit better though, but acceptable.

I was expecting something bad because of the reviews, but I really liked my stay. Staff was really nice and helpful. Location is excellent. 2 Streets away from the center. Twin room was comfy (kinda old but I didn't mind), shared bathroom was always clean. Breakfast really good. Stairs are really inclined but that's Amsterdam!

If you're looking for a comfy bed in a clean and warm room (check your heating is on) then you won't go wrong here. The hostel is secure and shared bathrooms are kept to a nice standard. The location is amazing, within 2 minutes walk of the Dam square and lots of shops, bars and clubs! Don't be put off...

I was apprehensive after reading so many bad reviews, but was more than pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The hotel is perfectly located 5 mins from the station, close to some lovely bars and restaurants, off a side road so not too busy at all. Rooms are basic but clean, good sized comfortable beds with great pillows! I had brought...

For anyone reading this, both me and my Fiance are very experienced, extensive travellers, and we have stayed in a huge range of accommodations, from camping to 5* star luxury spa hotels. We are very open minded yet we both do not tolerate anything we percieve as a problem, from unsuitable beds to cleanliness. I personally have high levels of...

Great location but not the cleaniest rooms, comfortable beds but too small for a couple.... Toilets are very clean but quite small for "no2 need" for a tall man as I am. Stairs were very steam and narrow but in all Amsterdam are the same isnt it?

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
