One of the worst hotels in the NH chain. Starting from poor service to old rooms. The prices do not match what you get at all. The manager (Seimon) and the staff are rude and the rooms are terrible and dated. The hotel is in dire need of renovations with buckets on the ground because the ceiling is leaking from the rain. Rooms are small and with no amnesties expect for an old water kettle and no proper toiletries. My advice: STAY AWAY !!!
We were actually staying in another NH Hotel but came to the Restaurant of NH Amsterdam Centre to have dinner & drinks because of its very central and convenient location right at the Leidseplein. I can definitely recommend coming here for food & drinks. The interior is very stylish and modern and the food was surprisingly really good and better than expected!! Also the service was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I wanted to order a Gin Tonic and Lisbeth talked me through several Gin Options. When my mother said she doesn't drink alcohol, Lisbeth proposed to make her a non-alcoholic Mango cocktail instead and both drinks were super yummy! Simeon took our food order and was very helpful with the recommendations. He even shared some jokes with us. All in all we had a very pleasant dinner experience here :)…
This hotel was a great choice. Six of us stayed for 3 nights. The location is amazing. Walking distance to everything in city center and convenient public transportation nearby as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Some were a bit on the smaller side but nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel in such a prime location. Good wifi and very nice breakfast. I would definitely come back again.
Beautiful stay in Amsterdam the hotel room was comfortable, location VERY convenient, and front desk and breakfast staff outstanding, especially Monique. Always Greeted us with a friendly smile! Food was delicious and plentiful. Recommend this hotel at this location
Regulating AC was only issue. Fantastic staff and location was within easy walking distance to museums. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. Also served a very good lunch. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We booked at the last minute with limited options so weren't sure what to expect. Travelling as a family with teenagers. Our room was good, spacious with a great view of the canal, small park and city. The teenagers room was much smaller and no view, looking out onto other windows/boilers etc. Worth paying extra for a view. Near the police station so quite a few sirens at night but you are in a city and actually it's much quieter than most cities. The location near the Leidspleine is good, lots of bars and restaurants, about 100m from the tram line . A number 2 or 12 will take you to Dam Square, Centraal Station and then a train onto Schipol. The decor of the bar and restaurant was modern and instagram worthy. There was a good selection at breakfast although some things ran out but staff would produce more when asked. Like everywhere at the moment, they were doing their best with fewer staff available. We hired bikes from a store called Mac Bikes, just around the corner. Vondelpark and Museumplein very walkable from here. We also had problems with our keycards not always working but it wasn't a big deal and the lovely staff were always quick to remedy, fluent in many languages. We'ren't able to use the gym as you had to book a slot in advance. Boat tour with the orange hoodie boat guys was great, drinks on board. The 9 streets shopping area was the best if you like vintage clothes, cafes, jewellery and clothes shops. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.…
We were on a Globus tour and this was their hotel of choice in Amsterdam. Our room was very tiny, even by NYC standards. The lighting was horrible, orange tinted, air conditioning did not work, windows would not open, only place to open suitcase was to put it on the bed. There was a luggage rack in the entry but such poor lighting, I had to use my iPhone light to see, getting into the tub shower was extremely dangerous as the tub wall was very high. Two people could not fit in tiny bathroom. Access controlled elevator most of the time took numerous attempts to get it to open. Our room looked out on an alley which was not a deal breaker. We came into Amsterdam 2 days early and Globus charged us $780 for this room. I have complained to Globus also. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is great location and the bed was comfortable.…
Well situated near the core but park across the road gives the area a little quiet. Great friendly staff and reasonably priced for what's offered. The in hotel breakfast we found was a little pricy for us as seniors but was very well laied out with lots of choices. About a 20 min walk to Central Station.
Great location at the heart of the city center. Rooms are comfortable and very quite. I wake up by the birds singings every morning which was a very nice experience. The staff were very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Huseyin for his very kind help during our meeting and service at the breakfast!
Well worth the extra for the breakfast, it's good. Staff were all amazing, helping with booking activities etc. Location was fine too, when I made the booking I thought it was supposed to be flowermarket branch though.
