Not central at all, the rooms are small and oddly shaped, no lift and not very well maintained... I would not recommend staying there to any of my friends or family... Pay a bit more to stay central...

The hotel is very nice, it is near the city centre and the owners are very friendly!I recommend everyone this hotel also because it has a good value for the price and you can have breakfast at the machine. Good stay in Amsterdam :)

I'm currently in this hotel until tomorrow... I think it's perfect for what u need!! Close to the tram stops (literally 20seconds) and far enough away from the main areas !! It's basic rooms which provide towels and u have a fridge to use aswell. I have stayed in many hotels and although I'm extremely laid back I feel a... More

We stayed here for two nights, very helpful staff, basic room, but that's all we wanted and paid for. Close to trams to city central or a pleasant 20-30 minute walk into city. Left bags here after check out as flight not till late, absolutely no problem for them, staff more than happy to accommodate. Stayed in attic room, which... More

This hotel has a great location, near a tram station (right in front of the room) but still quite in the center (15 mins away from the very center). Our room was a little bit noisy because it was on the street side, however the room itself turned out to be extremely big, clean, with five beds, two sinks and... More

Me & my partner found this hotel & it turned out to be a real diamond. The room was basic but clean we had a balcony which we were allowed to smoke a spliff on. It has a great location too, trams right outside to take you into Central which is about a 5-7 mins tram ride depending on where... More

On arrival we received a free upgrade to a beautiful room on the street side with all facilities including hair dryer, generally clean except for a clump of hair overlooked in the bathroom. The service desk was friendly and helpful, the hotel open 24/7 (not for check-in though). Located in a beautiful residential area opposite Artis Zoo and near the... More

Front desk got totally mixed up with booking; not pro and even unwelcoming ! Rooms did stick out as not clean messy and three lrarg slugs pretty much at ease confirmed the damp feel and cellar like smell in both rooms booked, not forgetting spiders... What I would say is this: if there nothing else but a room in that... More

Noisy, not clean, small room, not central at all and not cheap for what it is... I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone... I wish I had paid a bit more to stay somewhere else....

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time it was loud as we faced the preschool and we were next to the front desk, although we did request a quiet room. Although the preschool does not open until about 9:30 AM, which is good. A repair or two was needed and furniture was rather beat up and old.... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
