Great place to stay for the price. Location was perfect. Right next to vondlepark and the tram to the city centre stopped two streets away. The quality of the room itself was fine, staff were lovely. Only complaint was that the room itself was always so hot that I had to leave the window wide open at night. The room...

clean comfortable amazing price for liedseplin museum 1/4 with a view of a park and a river, close to the square and trams, the owner is a gentleman who wants you to have a relaxing stay at the sipermann, quiet hotel with reasonable rates and spotlessly clean and en suite and hotel building in good safe condition unlike many in...

Location is a good 10 min tram journey from dam square. Service was ok everything we asked for we got straight away. Only bad points the room and bathroom were tiny need to paint the walls as they are bright yellow . On a plus bed was really comfy for only 30 Euro a night can't really moan. General maintenance...

The ensuite-bathroom is new and the only good thing about this place is the location. They charged us 10 euro/hour after 10pm for late check-in. Remote wasn't working so i went downstairs to ask for new batteries. The manager was unhelpful and kept saying they were close. His father helped by giving me another remote. The room was so small,...

Hotel run by an Indian family any the only thing in their mind is money They only think to get 1 extra euro from you. Hotel can not be considered as hotel because it may only be a hostel. Family lives in the basement floor and the hostel always smells Indian food. they charge extra 10€ for your late check-in...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
