Stayed two nights, beds and Wi-Fi average but showering facilities and breakfast were good + stylish lobby with plenty of information on Amsterdam. A reliable Hostel that does the job (so as long as you're not to rely on Wi-Fi during your stay).

We stayed at Stayokay hostel for 3 nights around Easter. Check in was super easy, although we had to pay to rent lockers for our luggage until check in time which I find annoying as it wasn't the cheapest place to stay, but only cost €1 for about 4 hrs. The location is amazing - right next to Vondelpark, 5...

Nice, clean rooms. Big lockers with hangers. Sucky wi-fi, one of those annoying ones where you have to log in after everytime you lock your phone. Half of the staff was really Nice and the other half just looked straight through you.

I stayed for 5 nights in two different rooms and the staff and other guests were very nice. One of the rooms had fine wifi but only two outlets for 6 people which could have turned into the hunger games. The wifi in the other room kept logging off and the other people I stayed with couldn't even log on...

In comparison to other accommodations (with private Room for 2) the price is very reasonable and the location is great. Between the city centre and the main museums it's also close to the Albert-Cuyp-Market, the Heineken Experience, de foodhallen etc. A lot of Restaurants, nice shops and a supermarket are very close. The rooms don't seem so small because the...

The hostel looks more like a hotel, I stayed in a four bedroom room, only female. The beds are so comfortable, but the room is a little bit small and the lockers too, but it's good if you only want it to sleep, the hostal was very clean and the reception personal was so kind, I had a problem with...

The great position let us to walk all around the city centre without using public transport. The room we had was quite small for 6 people, but it's a hostel, so acceptable. Not proper matresses, however they were comfortable to sleep on. Thank you!

The room we had was really gross, they smelled weird and the sheets and floor were dirty (hairs on the floor and blood on the sheet..). But the staff were nice and the food was good, definitely was not happy with the rooms though. The area was good and it was easy to get about from the hostel.

The hostel has a great localization, although it's not the easiest to get with your luggage. The staff is very courteous and the room is fair enough. Points of attention would be the bathroom that is not functional since the shower has a little room to hang the clothes but at the end it all get wet, and the elevator...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
