Stayed with my cousin for 5 days. At first we were put on top floor, very very narrow stairs 4 flights up, room was very small & basic but fine for us to crash, only thing was stairs as I suffered a brain injury & not very good on my feet. Felt like we were in Anne Franks bedroom we...

Too dirty hotel, really disgusting. The room was extremely small and ugly, but that really wasnt our problem at all. The toilet seemed so dirty like nobody ever cleaned it really. The bathroom tiles had brown dirty spots on them and between them and they were sticky with slipe. Also when we first enter our bathroom i found a half empty beer...

Booked a quadruple room with a private bathroom for 3 nights from 04/12/16 - room is too small to fit all 4 of us (wife & 2 children). I have no problem with a bunk bed but it has no stair to climb to the upper bed (problem for my young kid). Wardrobe’s door was broken, unable to close it...

Booked a room here with my friend for 2 nights before we headed to Luxembourg and then Bruges. The hotel was so awful that we checked into the Ibis across the road instead. They don't offer refunds under any circumstances so they've got you over a barrel unless you are prepared to stay in a prison cell. They should not...

We like the location of the hotel, the staff are so nice, helpful and charmin, thank you guys for all your help, the room is very small, about the size of 2 doble beds is the space of the room with a toilet, but its perfect if you are going just to sleep and don't spend much time in the...

Very close to Amsterdam centraal, dam square, the red light district and center of the canal rings. You will find it hard to get a more central location at this price. The hotel offers basic rooms and we hat a room for 4 with ensuite bath. Relatively quite but for a little street noise and decent beds. Expect little more...

The only positive - location close to most attractions and station. Price is only reflective of the location. So basically everything else is quite bad. No elevators (we took our big suitcases up 3 floors in an extremely narrow and dingy staircase), Old building, smelly interiors, room was like a dungeon and a cramped hole. Barely any place to walk...

Good location. Nice bathroom, although the room was small its only to sleep in anyway. Lots of awkward stairs tho. Decent price for the location too. I would stay again and have used this hotel a fee times.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
