This was the perfect B & B experience. We stayed in the Red Tulip room for several nights in October. Carlos, the owner, greeted us upon arrival and although we were early and the room wasn't ready yet, he helped us get our bearings and sent us off to sightsee for a few hours. When we returned, we were welcomed...

What a great place!! This was our first time in a B&B in Amsterdam and we were not disappointed. Sunhead is ideally situated on the quiet Herengracht which is about 5-10mins walk from Dam Square and about 10 mins from Amsterdam Centraal Station. There are plenty of cool bars and restaurants nearby and also a lot of quirky little shops....

I spent 3 wonderful days in Sunhead. The b & b is really nice, I stayed in the yellow narcissus room: the room is very comfortable, clean and cozy. The view was not on the canal, but for a short stay so it was not necessary. Carlos was friendly and really kind: he suggested us some alternative routes to visit...

Stayed here for a long weekend in the red room. Fantastic location overlooking the canal; fantastic room with real character; wonderful hosts and great breakfasts all added up to a marvelous stay. To be recommended.

We stayed in the Yellow room for the last weekend in October, and by far, taking everything into consideration, this is the best B&deliciousB we have stayed in. At €119 a night it wasn't the cheapest place we've stayed, but it is so central, 10 mins walk from the station, 2 mins from Westermarkt tram stop, on the canal in...

We had a two-day stop in Amsterdam - our first ever - and could not have picked a better place for a home base! The directions from the train station (15 minute walk) were very easy, and provided us with a magnificent night-time first look at the city. The B&B is conveniently located to many of the major sights, and...

I stayed at Sunhead for a couple of days earlier this week. Although I'd booked the Yellow Narcissus Room, it turned out that the Red Tulip Room was free, which was great as it had a wonderful view of the canal and the hosts didn't charge me any extra for it. Amazing attic room -spacious, warm and comfortable. The stairs...

Last week we spent three wonderful days in Amsterdam in the B&B Sunhead of 1617. The B&B is located very close to all important sights of the city as well as shopping streets and the main station. The appartment we rented was comfortable and charming (the kitchen looked a bit old, but we did not come to Amsterdam for cooking)....

Having Carlos as our gracious host was a 1 in a million shot. His breakfast is unmatched amongst all of my travel destinations and everything went as smooth as possible. Only a short walk from the Red Light District and the best shopping in Amsterdam. I will definately recommend this to all who travel to Amsterdam. YOU CANNOT TOP THIS...

The owners of Sunhead 1617 is very friendly and hospitable. Carlos serves a very tasy breakfast, the room were clean and cosy and the place is perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam. Last day of our visit we got to go on a boatride in the canals with Roelf, one of the owners. Highly recomended!
