Everything is great here (food, interior etc.). Only the prices are extremely high. But it is a place where you immediately know at the entrance, that you are going to receive a bill which is very, very high. But it is definitely a nice place.

The hotel design is just amazing and the service excellent! It is located in the museum district , close to a very nice park and the luxury shopping street. We reserved a deluxe duplex room with view to the interior lobby. It is a very spacious duplex with two bathrooms. The breakfast buffet is simply excellent and great value for...

Nice hotel with interesting architecture. The staff are nice and helpful. The room is clean and nice, tho I wish the bed is king sized instead of Queen. Duplex is a bit annoying to get up and down all day, especially when they don't have a closet upstairs. The bathroom is clean and nice, limestones, shower is great. * Food...

i can not fault this hotel, great location, pool etc everything you would want. maybe the corridor's are a bit dark. but thats it everything else is right up to or beyond the standard you would expect of a 5 star hotel, esp the service from the staff that impressed us most, genuine smiles and very very helpful... recommended 1000%.

Quality service at its best. The staff can remember your name and answer the phone by a cheerful "Good morning Mr XXX! How can I help you?". Perfect English was spoken. Good manners. Genuine smiles. I felt like a King! Be specifically warned, however, that everything here (from the room to the food) is really rather expensive (by all standards)...

The hotel decor and design is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The concierge recommended and booked great restaurants and a private boat trip for us. The hotel restaurants are superb. And the breakfast which is included is delicious! The location great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a difficult hotel to review. And it has been said before. The conversion architect (Italian I believe), took a strong stance for his vision and did not worry so much about functionality. We stayed in room 808, one of the suites. Husband didn't like it much, deploring the lack of a decent work / reading space, found it...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
