Mercure Amsterdam North Station garners high praise for its friendly staff and prompt service, with guests frequently lauding the hotel's cleanliness, especially the modern, well-maintained rooms and tidy bathrooms. While the hotel's location is celebrated for its proximity to quick public transport to central Amsterdam, some guests find breakfast and parking to be on the pricier side. Nonetheless, the clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds and modern decor contribute to the hotel's fresh atmosphere, making it a popular choice for those seeking value and convenience.

First impressions were great after arriving late in the evening. I pre checked in or the accor app so all I had to do was to confirm my name, booking reference and show my ID and we was on our way up to the room. We were kindly upgraded once we mentioned our late anniversary on the booking. The room was lovely and they put some flowers etc on the bed which was a great touch. We decided to use their breakfast instead of venturing out to find something which we did not regret… it was plentiful, great quality and so good that we had it every morning of the trip. Rooms had been cleaned every time we came back from the centre, lobby staff always welcoming, only 10 minutes from the centre using the station that was only next door (couldn’t hear at all day or night).
Basically it is a perfect place to stay when visiting Amsterdam, we highly recommend.

This hotel was extremely convenient being next to a metro station which gets one into central Amsterdam in a few minutes and which is also a base for touring via buses. It is a new and meticulously clean hotel with very comfortable beds and rooms in which windows can be opened and containing a fridge, safe and kettle with tea/ coffee. Staff are courteous and most helpful. Breakfast buffet is of a high quality. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed as a family of 3 adults, meeting up with friends, after looking at the prices in the centre of Amsterdam where our friends were was eye watering, so we opted for The Mercure at a fraction of the price.. WOW what a pleasant surprise, it was 2 stops on the metro from Central station literally 10 mins and the metro so regular and the hotel is almost on the Metro station, we had a large modern clean room with a double & 2 single beds. We didn't opt for breakfast but in hindsight although expensive it's not much more than eating in the centre. There is a shop across the road & one in the metro station that you can pick bits of food up on the go.
3 stops on the metro takes you by the square and Red light district.
Our friends paid over £300 more than us and 3 adults were sharing a double bed. So I'd highly recommend staying here over being in the centre.

Dear Guest, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review (and rating us with 5 stars!). Indeed, our price-quality ratio is excellent, especially considering that you are a 4 minute metro-ride away from the historical center of Amsterdam! And with regards to breakfast: we always also have rate inclusive breakfast available. We sincerely hope that we can welcome you back soonest! With kind regards, Roos - Mercure Amsterdam North Station

Spent 4 nights here on a long weekend break in Amsterdam. The hotel is new and in excellent condition. The room was well appointed and had everything I required. Although on the pricy side most good hotels in the city come at an elevated price. I really liked the location being less than 50 metres from Noord metro station giving access to Centraal Station within 5 mins. It is also on the same line as Zuid station which is a great changeover point to get to Schipol. Nice bar on the 1st floor but slightly above average prices for drinks.Plenty shops within a 5 minute walk.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and am sure I will book again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. As soon as you enter, the feeling of newness and tranquillity hits you! Though we only stayed for one night, we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We arrived early morning due to our flight, much before check-in time, but the staff were kind enough to hold onto our luggage whilst we explored the city. The hotel is in a perfect location for travelling from/to the airport and also to the main landmarks, using the metro. Frequent trains and a few stops to central Amsterdam. When we came back in time for check-in, we found out that we had been upgraded to the privilege suite on the 7th floor!! The room was beautiful. I also do not remember a time that I slept so well! Breakfast was amazing in the morning, with a huge variety of foods to choose from. It is clear that every inch of detail was carefully curated when designing this hotel, from the lobby, to the rooms, to the breakfast bar; such beautiful decor.

A special shoutout to Olive and Ruby in the reception who made our stay exceptional and took time out to list a few locations for my partner and I to visit during our short visit in Amsterdam.

Overall very happy guests and delighted to book another stay at other Mercure hotels if this experience is something to go by!

We stayed here for a weekend from September 2nd to September 4th and I was genuinely surprised by how good it was. The hotel is brand new and the rooms in itself were very spacious and just well thought off. As an ALL gold member it was very easy to check-in online. After arriving we were welcomed by a nice gentleman who let us sit down while we were registered and engaged in nice conversation. Even had a good laugh and really showed interest. Upon receiving the keys and the welcome drink voucher we went up to the room. It was clearly very spacious when we walked in especially for three persons and there was a nice card and gift ready on the desk. There were three single beds with very good quality pillows. Loads of fittings and USB ports and the shower was amazing. The first morning we had breakfast as well. Wide selection of basically everything you can imagine and the restaurant itself had a very nice atmosphere. The hotel is located conveniently with shops, cafe's, parking garages and public transport all within a 5 minute walk! During check-out we were greeted by two ladies who were also very friendly and engaged in conversation to double check how our stay was. All in all I would recommend this hotel every single time. The negative reviews on here were probably from right after the opening but you can already tell they have done so much to improve and it shows!

we stayed from Aug 26 to Sep 3, 2022, the location was great the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, but they couldn't honor the request of having a family room. The house keeping staff were not up to expectation the cleaning wasn't good they really need more training.
I will come back again

The hotel is well located, near the metro station and only two stops from Amsterdam Central station. Bar and two guys working at the bar are great.

As for the experience - this hotel is my worst Mercure experience. Hotel restaurant menu contains only three types of pizza. As a gold member, I visited a few Mercure hotels (Plaza de España, Madrid; Sloterdijk, Amsterdam), and neither can be compered with this one. I haven’t got an early checkin, and I got a regular (not privilege) room. Also, I wasnt provided with the welcome drink and amenities and our minibar was empty during the whole stay. After a few days I complained about the experience and Djina from the reception was more than helpful - she provided us with water, coffee machine, amenities and welcome drink. The room was cleaned every day, but the cutlery wasnt changed just returned to its place, so we didnt have them clean everyday.

Overall, staff is good and hotel is (just) ok. I would much rather recommend Sloterdijk Mercure instead of this one.

We stayed at this hotel for one night for a friend gathering in Amsterdam. The main reason I chose the hotel was because of my Gold Accor All membership and because the hotel seemed brand new.

Welcome: We arrived around 13:00. The reception staff were the slowest Accor hotel reception I have ever seen. The receptionist told that he is alone so he was showing people the few seats in reception area. We literally waited half an hour for only 2 other customers to check in. The receptionist was giving so much detail that we thought they were trying to sell the house forever to the people that are trying to check-in. Once we reached the receptionist, there was already a tension due to long wait and I truly didn't enjoy the check-in experience, even though my All Accor status was recognised and we were given welcome drinks (no room upgrade though). When we went to room, we realised that the receptionist even forgot to provide the Wifi password which required us to go all the way down to the reception again.

The room: The hotel is brand new and the rooms are in amazing condition. Everything brand new and so well thought. Everything works as expected and we had a very comfortable sleep. I would totally come to this hotel for that.

Location: Our goal was to see Amsterdam as much as possible in 2 days. Even though the hotel is not right at the centre, it takes only 7-10 minutes to go from the hotel to the Amsterdam city centre with public transport. We even had the chance to go to the hotel to quickly change and continue our day. There is not much around the hotel though. It is a new developing residential area.

Restaurant: At this particular stay, we didn't use the restaurants of the hotel. The restaurant is shared with the sister hotel Tribe which is right next to it though.

Overall: The hotel is brand new and they provide a really comfortable room. The only thing that requires improving is the reception. Whenever I went there, there was chaos and even simplest of the things were taking so much time. However, I would definitely stay there again and I would be extremely happy to see that the reception staff is a bit less chaotic and more welcoming.

Arrived here early morning, due to getting a 6 am flight. They gave us an early check in which really helped get our holiday off to the right start, as we go relax and still get great use out of the day. The receptionist was so kind and went through loads of recommendations including places to eat, attractions and whether we need to book or not in advance. The room was spacious and modern, we got breakfast both mornings which was 10/10 standard. The only thing I was worried about was the fact it was slightly out from the city centre, but there was no need to worry. The hotel is directly across the road from a tram station and you’ll be into the centre in less than a few minutes on the tram. We got a 9 euro 24-hour pass which allowed us to travel on all metro and trams as often as we wanted. Overall, a great hotel we will definitely be back
