the staff at the reception were very helpful. They helped organize our transport from the hotel. They adequately managed the group we traveled in. The rooms were small but the decor and management of it was made well worth it. Located in a quiet neighborhood but a distance away from the public transport system.

We stayed here for 3 nights, located in the beautiful Jordaan area. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the largest room, which was meant for 4 people. The room was very smart and clean, more than big enough for the two of us. The staff were very helpful, particularly an Asian gentleman whose name I've forgotten. He advised on all...

Staff are so helpful at Linden Hotel for first time visitors. We stayed here in September and the staff directed us to all kinds of attractions. You are just blocks from The Anne Frank House and the Dam Square. You are right beside a canal and just steps away from a delicious fresh fish shop and an icecream shop.

Good hotel in quiet part of city, room was clean little on small side but that wasn't a problem, friendly staff, walking distance to centre, trams and buses very near if don't fancy walking. Residential street which has a few restaurants and places to drink coffee(one right next door to hotel)came in on a rainy day.

This boutique hotel is a good find in Amsterdam, although the room could have been a little cleaner (nothing major, just more attention to vacuuming the carpet I the corners etc). The location is perfect, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and shops, and an easy walk or bus ride to lots of tourist attractions.

The room was very tiny and the bed linens weren't great but it had all the basic amenities in a great location. The neighborhood was very nice and within walking distance of everything you could want to see in Amsterdam. The staff was very nice and helpful, although we sometimes had to wait 5-10 minutes before anyone came to the...

The hotel itself is quite nice, small but comfortable. No air conditioning but a small fan provided in the wardrobe. Gave this hotel only 3 stars because we were kept waiting in reception for over half an hour because the printer wasn't working. They could have let us into the room and printed the papers later, or even offered a...

Small hotel in traditional building in the Jordaan area. The rooms are tiny, but clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was simple, but sufficient. The location was central, but quiet, and in a nice street, by a canal. The staff were helpful when you asked for assistance, but somewhat anonymous. All in all an ok experience, and I will rate...

On a recent visit to Amsterdam my partner and I booked this hotel largely because of it's location. The room was compact but everything we needed and located in a very nice part of the city. Within easy walking distance to the centre and suitably distant from all the hustle and bustle. Within minutes to some very nice restaurants. Staff...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
