I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the location is very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The first room we stayed in was very small then we swapped to another room that was much bigger and had loads more space so that was great. overall very satisfied if you want fancy you really have to pay for...

I stayed here for one night while visiting Amsterdam to see friends. I booked this hotel online last minute. The room itself was small but nice and clean with a comfy bed. It wasn't the best room as it was at the front of the building and was very noisy! The staff however were very helpful and gave me directions,...

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend at the beginning of April for a short city break and my first time in the city. Firstly the hotel is in a great location - it isn't too central but we managed to walk everywhere with ease. Even with trams everywhere we decided just to walk, that way you get to...

The room was very small, but clean. From inside the room, all conversations/noises from the hallway can be heard. The location was okay - we walked everywhere. It's also close to the bus stop to/from the airport. Breakfast was an array of bread, some meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs, cereal, juice.

The hotel was situated within 15 minutes walking time of all the sights we visited. The tram stops near the hotel as does the bus if you prefer. The breakfast was delicious and proved more than adequate to set us up for the day. Free hot drinks available 24:7 as the hotel is a 24 hour opening premises. Our room...

Spent about 3 days here. ..right next to leidsplien, the location of the hotel is fantastic. Some painting work was on at the hotel while we stayed. Very very basic hotel...in fact it would get noisy when people moved about in the aisles! Only breakfast buffet service. Inter connectivity with trams superb hence commutation is no problemo!! Leidsplein is also...

I stayed here for two nights. The room was basic, but you get what you pay for. It was clean and comfortable. There was quite a lot of selection for the continental breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival the gentleman that greeted me on reception was quite blunt, but the other staff I encountered during my stay were really...

Just got back from a mini break and had a fab time. Hotel was great, spotless and had everything you need. Great location and would definitely recommend it. Room was small but could not fault it, breakfast was perfect and to have coffee available all day was a great touch.

Well let's start with the positives; we only stayed for three nights. I am afraid that's about as far as it goes with this place. Walking in to the room (number 33), I was blasted by an overwhelming musk which can only be described as a mixture of sulphuric farts, and damp mould. I opened up the windows - "it's...

Now I'm going to review based on my experience during a two day half term visit with my children. After reading a mixed bag of reviews about rooms, thin walls and noise I was interested to see how this panned out but it was fine. After an initial reallocation of room to room 11 I was very happy. It was...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
