This great little hotel was located across from central station, so was very easy to locate, and during our stay was always easy to re-locate. It is a quirky little place, with a train theme. It is a small, simple but charming hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast provided was simple, but more then adequate. It can be...

Directly across from central station, could not be more ideal. We arrived at 1pm and we taught we would be just dropping bags in fact our room was ready and we were given the key. We were offered tickets to tours and attractions, information about the transport system (could not have been any more helpful)... rooms were spotless, beds so...

The hotel is located across from the train station. Hotel has a railroad train decor theme. Hotel and rooms were small but charming. Single pane Windows allowed noise from people on street to be heard. Very nice breakfast.

For the information of those who will get the apartment: You'll have to pass thru the first floor bedroom (the room with the double bed) to get to the kitchen. If you value your privacy, you might find this a hassle - otherwise, if you're one big family, I think this will not pose a problem. There are no windows...

This is a quirky little hotel with a train theme. We went there with our two children aged 6 and 8 and they totally loved it! The breakfast is very yummy and the breakfast room is filled with train memorabilia. the room had an interesting design with the children on the top level, there is a steep ladder/staircase up to...

Great location to the train station - surprisingly! Excellent staff who were always friendly and clean room everyday. Nice breakfast with plenty of fresh options and lots of choice! Only issue was the bathroom gets slightly soaked when you take a shower as it isn't enclosed but only a minor problem.... Special thanks to the staff, the nicest people I...

A chic railway themed hotel in an excellent location. Be warned that the rooms are tiny. You are advised of this when you check in. Solution....go see the sights. It is not conducive to spending much time in your room.

If you're on a budget then this quaint little hotel is more than adequate. The location is excellent, easy to find and very central - within very easy reach of most of what Amsterdam has to offer. Our room (no 208) consisted of 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 singles and was clean and...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
