Overall our stay at Bicycle Hotel was fine. The room was cute and comfortable and the bathroom in the hallway was good (loved the shower). However, customer service here was not so great. The gentleman who checked us in was very awkward, not personable and didn't seem knowledgeable on the area (he couldn't come up with a lunch recommendation for...

Went to stay there for 3nights. My room was at the very top. Steep stairs & suitable for backpackers. We have to share bathroom/toilet with other occupants. Breakfast was good. And what i like the most was the friendly staffs & quite near to the city centre. 😃😃

Nicehotel, and cheap for amsterdam. Close enough from the city center, and with the tram close by. A good enough breakfeast, clean andin a relative quiet zone. The only thing that I didn't enjoy that much was the stairs, but i guess that I would have them everywhere in Amsterdam.

Other than the very steep stairs, a feature typical to the narrow Amsterdam houses, this is a great place to stay. Close enough to the centre that we could walk to attractions and bars. Breakfast was more than adequate. Rooms clean and comfy if a tad small. For the price a doubt you'd get better. Plus, they have a garage...

Hotel very well located, clean and quite comfortable. the workers are very friendly and helpful ... breakfast had some variety and the price is quite accessible. Recommend and I intend to go back. to go to the Center just take the 16 or 24 electric ... it takes about 10 min.

For a one star, this is way more than its rating! We had two brand new, spacious apartments across the street, just wonderful! The staff is super friendly, the breakfast fine! Good service with Wifi and printing of e-tickets in the reseptor. Bicycles very handy, too!

We slept in this hotel for 4 nights in a room for 4 people. The room was quite ok and very clean, although quite small. It was a room with bathroom included inside the room, and it was fully renovated and really nice (I think it´s what I liked the most in the hotel). The breakfast included is simple but...

Had another wonderful stay at the Bicycle Hotel -- 5th or 6th time in the past ten years (stayed here twice this time, on a bit of whirl-wind back and forth) Great location -- guiet part of the city (Pijps district), yet with lots of restaurants/bars/activity around the corner. 40 minute walk to the crazy centre, 1 km to Museumplein...

I had 3 nights stayed in this budget hotel in a small private single room. The staff working at the hotel is supper friendly and very helpful for information about the city. Just take care one you steep down from the steep-stairs. The room is very small but luckily that there is a balcony looks down the garden. The location...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
