The location is perfect, the neighbourhood Is very quiet and you can walk your way all thru Amsterdam. The room we stayed in Is a bit small, the bathroom is tiny, we couldn't even turn around. The room was not made every day, couldn't understand why. The staff was noce and friendly and very helpful. We didn't have breakfast as It Is expensive like Crazy. Not bad but could be improved
Very good help from the staff at the counter. The rooms are very poorly maintained. Stains on the walls . Dirt in the bathroom. Cracked fittings. Beds that are not secured to the floor. If you rest on the wall next to the bed you just roll away and fall through the gap.
Booked this hotel last minute due to sudden change in travel plans. Jay, the front desk guy, was very nice and welcoming. Room was on the 4th floor. Like most properties in Amsterdam, the hotel was narrow but thank goodness they had a 3-person capacity elevator! The place is quiet, but you can easily walk to the nearest tram stop. You can buy OV cards at the front desk. Breakfast was only 10 Euros per day and was served buffet style. Good spread -- various types of bread, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, cereal, fruit juices, coffee and tea. Double room might be tight if you have two extra large luggage.
We've been locked out from our room at night because we didn't pay in advance. The hotel had our ID information and credit card, but they treated us like robbers, while we just thought it would have been fine paying at the check out, like in every other hotel I've been. The guy at the 24h reception (night shift) made us feel uncomfortable for no reason. In the morning, we discovered that our flight got cancelled and we were 1 hour late for the check out and the receptionist entered the room in a very rude way, asking us to leave. We understand there're rules, but being polite should be the first rule for both sides, clients and employees. We were looking for a solution to get home, not taking advantage of him or the hotel. In general, I would say that the service looks more nicer than actually it is, hiding yourself behind a smile don't allow you to treat people badly.…
Lovely traditional dutch building, quiet street and fab, friendly, helpful staff. Prices very reasonable we stayed in a triple room which even had a little kitchen area which was not expecting. My daughters and I enjoyed our stay. Thoroughly recommended.
