It is a quite economical choice near the centre. Only 3 minutes from the van Gogh museum and about 20 minutes away from the city centre. Clean enough (they change the towels every day, but not the bed sheets, despite the fact that they promised...More
Excellent area close to museums in a quiet street.
Dark entrance hallway with reception desk in the dining room. Not very welcoming.
Room was pleasant, bed comfy. Chairs worn and old. Spotlessly clean. Needs new carpets and decorating throughout. Dangerous rips on the steep stair...More
Very cosy, small hotel in a beautiful street at the center of the city. Very nice staff! Walking distance from the Museum quarter and trams take you further to the City, more museums at the tram route. I am definitely recommending this hotel.
Stayed with friends while visiting the city, the hotel is in a great location in the city and in a very pretty area also. Rooms were both clean and tidy so you cannot complain.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early July of 2017. The location is great. It was a 5-10 minute walk to see the major museums like Van Gogh. We walked everywhere in Amsterdam and were able to reach the downtown in less than 30 minutes....More
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
