Location is the only positive for this place. Its right next to the flower market. Room is small n tiny. No place to keep bags. Heaater definately not working. Breakfast average nothing special. Hotel not worth more than 60 bucks for a double room. Oh n yes. If possible ask for a room on the 1st floor, THEY HAVE NO...

I have spent 3 nights in February with my boyfriend in this hotel. The entrance itself didn't look up to standard. When you enter to a small reception desk the lady at the reception just gives you a fake smile and pretends to be nice. We had a huge problem with our bedroom key. The door to the bedroom want...

I booked to stay here as my usual preferences were all booked up for the weekend. The chap on reception was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and bright if a bit dated (but to be honest for the price most places are going to be a bit like this in Amsterdam). They let us check out a...

I came here with my 80-year-old mother, and I suppose that was why we were given a room on the first floor. However, this did also mean we were given (in my opinion) a substandard room. No shower curtain (not provided, despite mentioning it on day 1 of 4), no sink plug, an exposed wire by the socket at my...

Pros: Comfy bed, good continental breakfast, great location. Non smoking & free wifi. Cons: Everything everyone else has said is true. Very dated & small bedroom, steep staircases and terrible smell in the hallways. Also outside noise kept me awake one of the nights. Staff seemed friendly but we had 2 negative encounters. Firstly the man who checked us in...

Cheap. Good location if you've already stayed near to Dam Square s this is a bit further out. Nice to be canalside without expense of Prinsengracht (which is like two seconds away). It is what it is. The hotel seems to have its own bar and outside terrace area but it is not the hotel's - it is the bar...

As soon as we opened the door to our hotel room at Hotel Agora we were overwhelmed with a horrifying smell! Coming from the bathroom sink drain was a stench I can only describe as "rotting corpse". Upon notifying the front desk, they sprayed the room with air freshener and said the cleaning crew would clean it really well in...

Stayed here last weekend with friends. The location is spot on! The welcome was amazing. Young lady very helpful and accommodating. Allowed us check in 2 hours early. Wifi in the hotel went all the way to the rooms which was a nice touch. And she told us breakfast was provided which we didn't know. This is where the positives...

Definitely come here if you want to be central, but like most hotels in Amsterdam be prepared to hike up very steep stairs to your room. Everything seemed OK until I saw the bathroom! The sink literally had a third of it missing underneath with cracks radiating throughout the whole basin! Something catastrophic had happened to break it leaving fractured...

I was a little worried after seeing the negative reviews on here, but i shouldn't have been. i booked this hotel through a booking.com sale for half price, (£170 for 3 nights) for my boyfriend's birthday trip to Amsterdam. We stayed in room 28, a double ensuite. First of all, if you want luxurious decor, this isn't the hotel for...
