The location is perfect - all attractions, restaurants and shopping are at walking distance. If you are only looking for a place to crash at night, this is perhaps a good choice. But if you like to hang out in the hotel room, the rooms are too small, the bed is small, feels cramped/crowded. No coffee maker or microwave in the room. No complementary tea/coffee. There isn't enough storage. No airconditioning in the room, it may get warm. You can hear footsteps from upstairs as well as noises from the street below. Even the morning tea/coffee is part of the breakfast which opens only at 8AM. Front desk is friendly most of the time. But there is one guy who is very slow and customer service is poor.
It is a charming hotel in a quiet location near Vondelspark, but also only a few minutes' walk to Leidseplein. Fouad was extremely helpful and his travel advice was invaluable. I would stay there again.
The hospitality at this hotel is amazing. They have a super friendly and helpful team who ensured we had the most pleasurable stay. The hotel has atmosphere, charm and an excellent location. It is situated on a very quiet street, yet is close by public transport connections and within easy walking distance of many of the main sites. The breakfast was very good too. An absolutely ideal experience and we look forward to our return. Thank you.
This is a good hotel in a great location. We were able to walk to Anne Frank House, Red Light District, Dam Square and Museum Square. All very convenient. Lots of good place to eat near by. Hotel itself is small. Not bad price and service is good.
Nice hotel in a very good location, quiet street a few minutes' walk from the Vondelspark and the museums. The staff are lovely, friendly, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Very good breakfast too, selection of yogurts, fresh fruit, cerals and delicious bread and croissants. One thing to be aware of - I think the picture of the double room gives a misleading of some of the rooms; they're actually much smaller than the picture suggests.
the hotel is in a typical amsterdam house, on a quiet street very near the leidseplein, with a very nice view to the street (some rooms with balcony), and an inside garden. the double room is very very small, not much place to move around the bed. the bathroom is very comfortable. electric lighting is weak, in the morning the room was nice and sunny. breakfast ok. the staff are extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. everything was clean.
Unfortunately the bed wasn’t clean; it had hair and 2 dead spiders in it. The employee at the desk was also excessively chatty and without a mask; checkin took almost 10 minutes with him talking endlessly about the situation. He also took awhile to work through photocopying my covid pass, identification, asking for my cards number, etc.
We really liked the easiness of the staff and how accomodating they were. additional blanket? here you go! Need to print? sure. Gluten-free bread for breakfast? No problem. I would definitely stay there again.
A fine hotel but with the smallest double bedroom I ever stayed in. Prinsenhotel is not far away from the city center and it’s ok if you are the kind of person that only looks for a clean bedroom and a confortable bed.
We stayed at the Prinsenhotel from october 12th untill 16th. The room was clean, bed was good and the shower with extra rainshower wonderful. The service was really good and very nice. They did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. That is why we decided to book another night before leaving for the airport. We had a warm welcome back and an even better room. Location very close to the center and Vondelpark. Bus to the airport around the corner. We will definitely come back for another stay.
