The staff was so helpful and the room was very good and clean and well equipped The place of the hotel is a plus as the access to the whole city center is within a walking distance. Highly recommended
Brilliant location, very helpful and pleasant staff. Stairs are steep but not really a massive issue, got used to them quickly. Downside was opposite our balcony there were major building works going on which started from 7AM. Would have been decent of the hotel to state this before booking or have been given a cheaper rate. Don’t go while these works are going on as there is extremely loud sawing, hammering and general building site noise going on most of the day. Rooms are extremely small and the bathroom is borderline unusable given how tight the space is.
Summary: Stale cigarette smell, horrible beds, very small, very loud street noise. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. We booked for two nights. We arrived after 9pm the first night. I’d done my research (or so I thought) and knew about the steep stairs, but they are even worse in person. The fact that they require a 10 euro deposit for the key and remote is ridiculous. What’s even worse is that they want you to leave your key at the front desk every time you leave. We smelled stale cigarette smoke before we even got to our room. We should have stopped right there. I don’t know where it comes from, but it permeates the hotel and was also in our room. Our room was right next to the breakfast room. Our room door only opened half way and you had to turn sideways just to get in the room. The rooms and bathroom are extremely small, which I could handle if everything was kept up, but it just had an old, dingy feel. The fridge and hotel safe are at eye level, and the safe door hangs open, so we had to lock it just to keep from hitting our heads. The shower wouldn’t drain without removing the grate, and as others have said it’s extremely small. The bed (a double) is horribly soft and uncomfortable- it felt like sleeping on an air mattress. The church across the street has a very loud bell that gongs every 15 minutes both day and night. The windows are not well sealed, so you hear every noise on the street. We thought we were trapped due to the late hour, but were finally able to find another hotel and RAN out of there at 2:30 in the morning. They did agree to refund us for the second night and offered to switch us rooms, but that wasn’t going to fix the cigarette smell. Amsterdam is very easy to get around. Don’t stay here just because of the location.…
What a great experience! First of all, th service worth 5 stars 🤩 The staff was very very friendly and helpful They will welcome you by drink, Bonbon and map of Holland. Breakfast room was exceptional to me . It was very beautiful, cozy, vintage and inspirational The breakfast itself was very nice especially cake. Let's agree the room is so small but equibied with every thing you need . With little organisation of your things it will be okay. The stairs are steepy, but there is no problem because the bellman will carry your baggage. Finally I recommend this cozy lovely hotel strongly.
. Great location as near of dame square, all shopping street (dmrak , kalverstraat) and Anne frank house ..All staff are friendly, helpful, polite and special thanks for the manager Mr. Osama who help us very much in all situations ..Breakfast site view and food are very awesome
Excellent value for money, breakfast included, staff super nice, open 24/24. Just a little problem in the temperature management of the room, because the heater is placed at the bottom of the window and the cushion near to them. In winter nights there is a mix of cold/hot coming from them that is very strange. Unable to sleep well.
I love how close the hotel is to the main shopping area. The staff are very nice and friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself wasn’t too bad, we didn’t spend much time as we were out exploring most of the day. There are a lot of steps, we were situated on the top floor, I’m not that fit and unfortunately it was torture going up. The hotel has a dated vintage style going on, which doesn’t look too bad. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient. I’d happily return only if given the change to stay on the first floor.
The Nadia Hotel reminds you of good old times with its antique wooden furniture, mosaic lamps and arched windows. It is well kept and located right at Kaizers Gracht in the center of Amsterdam with a beautiful view of the Canal and the Westerkerk Tower. Even more special are the very kind staff and manager Osam, however. When we came back last weekend, we found a vase full of roses in our room and a card saying "Welcome home." Yes, we feel very much at home in the Nadia and will come back soon :)
Stayed here again for the third time and it was so good . The same warm atmosphere, the same nice people, the same kindness! Everything was great and the service was very good. Clean, comfortable at the very center of Amsterdam where everything like can be reached by only a few minutes of walking. We definitely will come back again!!!!
Great and very unique, almost quaint hotel in excellent location. A big thank you to the very kind and helpful statt who made our stay very memorable. We will definitely come back again. - and yes, there are a lot of stairs but you get used to them and it´s actually a fun experience.
