What can I say, on arrival found out no breakfast being served despite room sold breakfast included. Half the hotel is shut off to hotel guests due to students living in the other half, no kettle / tea making facilities, satellite TV this usually includes at least one English Channel right ? Nope all Dutch channels. 24 hr reception …. Nope. One evening 11:30pm two young girls were unable to get in their room due to key not working, no one on reception and no one answering the telephone number provided. Stay well clear !!!! Do not stay here Well what can I say :- 1. No kettle / tea making facilities 2. No breakfast 3. Towels changed once in 3 days 4. Keys didn’t always work 5. TV didn’t move, no satellite tv 6. This is the best bit….. one half of the hotel being lived in by students and was told we cannot go in that part of the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE…
We booked to stay here and as like a lot of others had to cancel due to covid. Tried emailing many times. Phoning many times. Absolute useless customer service. Nobody about and nobody returning emails. We’ll just have to lose three nights paid stop. It’s not worth the hassle or effort. They’ve obviously disappeared and are not bothered. Do not use until they sort themselves out.
We booked a room for 3 nights in September, but are unable to visit Amsterdam this year now. I don't know what's going on but, despite numerous emails, phone calls and filling out their contact form online, no one has got back to us. The two numbers either don't connect, or just ring and ring with no answer. Looking at other reviews, we are not alone. What is worrying is that they have our credit card details. They are advertised on all of the main websites so they seem to still be operational...
Due to the Corona pandemic, cancelled gig I had to cancel my flight in Amsterdam. I sent four e-mails and made one phone call trying to ask for a refund or a new date - they did not respond to e-mails, by phone I learned that they would try to arrange something and it ended, they fell silent for good, zero answers.
Staff were friendly at check-in but the tiny narrow stairs to the basement led onto a smaller coridoor and a smaller room which was tiny. The room poorly maintained piece of furniture were in various states of degredation and splashed with paint marks. Nothing was clean. The bathroom like most of this hotel is so tiny and poorly fitted that the toilet extends under the hand basin, making it very hard to use it. The sound isolation from the surrounding rooms was poor so every time someone used the stairs, a door, walked around there were loud sounds that were very disruptive, I am only glad there were no disruptive guests next door. The worst part was the weird random buzzing noise in the wall and the constant smell of cigarette smoke coming in from guest standing out the front of the hotel.…
Staying for one night in Quentin England. Checkin was easy and friendly. The girl did not speak dutch? but english only. Room was small but functional. The mattress in my opinion should be replaced maybe as I constantly felt the springs inside. Kept me awake for a long time. In the morning I went to the breakfast room and sat down. Besides a good morning, no welcome or explanation, so I waited without result for a while. The receptionist was more busy preparing his own breakfast than caring for the guests. After questioning it turned out to be a help yourself buffet but there was no coffee ready. Fixed in minutes but had to ask first. Breakfast items (only cold, no scrambled eggs, sausages etc) is ok. Roomrate was very low, even with breakfast included. So do not expect 5-star service. It.s pretty clean and cheap and close to city centre and Vondelpark. Good for a short stay. Staff's help could be much better, but I guess is depends on who's working. On arrival the reception desk girl was friendly and helpful. Next morning I found 2 people minding their own business which was a strange experience. Would maybe go here once more if other places are fully booked. But definitely not my first choice.…
Worse place i have stayed . There is no lift so you have to carry suitcases up lots of stairs and we was on top floor. Staff are rude and do not help. We asked what room we was staying in and they told us its a budget double but then when we told them we paid extra for standard double they soon changed what they said and said it is a standard double. The rooms are tiny no where to move. Not worth the price at all. We said we wanted to speak to a manager and they said we couldn't then said if you wanna complain put it on tripadvisor so here i am.
I stayed for three nights, having chosen the hotel for it's proximity to the music venue Paradiso, where I was seeing a concert. We were two people staying for two nights, and then I was alone the last night. The room was small - but big enough to fit us both. It didn't have a window, which was stated in the reservation, although it slipped my attention. Because of this, the room did get rather warm at night. On my last night, the room next door had some very noisy guests, who were smoking what is smoked in Amsterdam (I could clearly smell it in my bathroom). They were running around until 3.30 am, even after I had told them to pipe down. It would have been nice if the night-clerk had intervened. I won't blame the hotel for the guys, especially as I am sure they were talking about throwing them out for disruptive behaviour. I was not overly impressed by the cleaning - look at the fan in room 22, please, it seriously needs cleaning - but it was livable for me for three days. I forgot to mention it on checking out, sorry. I would certainly come again, because of the location, and the ease with which the hotel is reached from either airport or station.…
Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. - Only one plug socket in the entire room was provided. - Bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned daily with black mould a feature on the tiles. Hot water constantly running out in shower if other taps was switched on. - No ventilation in the room with the exception of a small roof light and a fan that was covered in dust which was louder than Concord taking off. - The two pushed together single beds to make a “double” were extremely uncomfortable and small, may as well of slept on the landing. - When the room was “cleaned” (which consisted of remaking the bed) old towels were taken away and not replenished, gave up after requesting new towels from reception twice which were never provided. - The one pillow provided per person was small (more suitable to a cushion) and uncomfortable. - Room was dust central, there was paint off the walls and black marks on the back of the door. Under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust, looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. - TV was broken, upon letting reception know we was told “it probably is and the engineer has finished for a few days" almost as if the TV was for show purposes only and not to be used. - Size of the room was 35% small than actually stipulated, far from habitable for more than one person and no wardrobe was provided. When asked to be moved to another room, I was told that there were no others for the duration of our stay. When the room size was mentioned to the receptionist we was fobbed off and told it was the advertised size. I could go on but I’m not going to waste any more time. If you are not majorly bothered by the cleanliness of a hotel that has no lift so you get to lug your cases up steep, windy, narrow staircases to your shoe box of a room and like to spend £150 per night for the privilege then this cesspit of despair is the place for you. However if you are more the spacious type, care about cleanliness and prefer a lift DO NOT STAY. The only saving grace is the Hotel was in a good location and most of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. …
They gave me a room for 2 nights at lower ground floor with no window! the thiny size of the room was 2,5mt by 1,7 meter. The TV was not working. It is a rip off! The bathroom is tiny! I think they should not be allowed to sell it as an hotel room!
