The location of this hotel is very handy. Close to many restaurants and public transport. Our room was pleasant. A little confusing to get to but it didn't take us long to figure out. The best part was the staff member called "Said" (pronounced Si-eed). He was so friendly and helpful and went out of his way to meet our needs and always with smile and a sense of humour.

Stayed here for four nights and stayed in room 301.It was a very noisy at first we thought the windows were open. They were closed and all we heard every night were the Trams rumbling below our room. Went for breakfast and the first morning was ok. When we went down for breakfast for the rest of our Holiday there was very little out. Bacon scrambled egg and sausages. I asked if there were was any ready and they said yes. I waited for about 15 minutes and still was not out. the service in the restaurant was poor. The Hairdryer cable in the bathroom was not safe the cable was hanging out. Would not recommend this room at this hotel as it is very noisy. They need to sort it out with good double glazing. We had very restless night with all the noise from outside. We Had to pay a tourist tax when we arrived. And if you check out after 11.am they will charge you 25 euros each. I recently stayed at Hotel Europa ‘92 for three nights. The room and fixtures in the room weren’t fabulous - lots of marks on the walls and stains on the desk chair. The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear the people next to you talking and people walking in the hallway. The lift was broken one day when I was there, and the stairs were a bit confusing to maneuver. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. It is a good 30-40 minute walk from the hotel into the city center, so I don’t think I would stay here again mainly because of the location (would prefer to be closer to the city center).

My review would be 4 out of 5because the staff is mostly friendly, and the room was accommodating enough for my 6 night stay, but one bad experience my first night at the hotel is dropping my review to 2 out 5. I came back to the hotel at around 4 am from a night out and the security door was locked because it was the middle of the night. The bigger problem was that the buzzer to notify a staff member was broken. I spent approximately 2 minutes pressing it until I realized it was broken. Then I tried calling the hotel from the number listed on google maps and that number did not work. After 10 minutes of getting frustrated and wanting to go into my room to fall asleep I lost my temper and started banging on the window and soon afterward someone came to let me in. When I have arrived at a hotel in the middle of the night in other places around the world, I have had no problem getting inside. I think that some pretty simple operating changes could have prevented me from having gone through this terrible experience. Another thing that is unique to this hotel is that they do not have duplicate keys for each room so they ask you to drop your room key off at reception every time you leave. One idea could be get duplicates of the room keys, and allow your guests to keep their room key! It might also be good to give them a key to the front door of the hotel so that they can let themselves in at any time of day!

I cannot stress enough how incredible the staff are at this hotel. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcome - big up Saíd the main man (or as we called him, super saíd!) The room was much better than we expected, cleaned every day and a lovely size for three of us. The hotel is a fantastic location with a tram stop almost directly outside. It’s around a 10 minute walk to the nearest bars where we had a fantastic night out! The garden at Europa is beautiful, especially at night time. However, we all openly admit this holiday would not have been the same without the staff! Massive thank you to Saíd, Yuseff, Esther & Mo!!
