The hotel is cheap, so you get what you pay for. It is in an excellent position, it could just do with a little TLC. We were a group of three friends, who shared a room, we requested three single beds and the hotel confirmed this via email before our arrival. We were in room 28 looking over the garden,...

You have to get in perspective the hotel quality in Amsterdam. If you want branded quality, standard room with trimmings, then stay at a branded hotel near the airport or pay big Euros for a 4 star or above in town, as the Omega Hotel is indicative of where you will stay in the city. The church that is adjacent...

Please, please consider other hotels prior to booking this hotel based on other reviews! We stayed two nights at this hotel (I use this term very loosely as I would liken it to a low budget hostel) and were extremely disappointed. The hotel staff are not sociable and boarder on rude; the room we stayed in was dirty and desperately...

During April of 2017 my wife and I spent three nights here. Our room was ready early which was great and the hotel is in a good location. It sits just across the street from a beautiful stone church and a few minutes walk to the Museum Square. The public transit system is also a close walk away to get...

Got back on the 10/04/17 after staying at the Hotel Omega for 5 nights. Rooms: Our room was clean and spacious. We stayed in the room right next to the reception area. We were very happy as we are smokers and had big glass double doors which led out into the communal smoking area, it was like having our own...

Well, the hotel has a very good location, the rooms are clean and tidy, they are a bit small but you dont get to stay too much in the hotel if you get to see Amsterdam. The breakfast is poor but ok. You have hot water all day. I would stay in this hotel if i were to visit Amsterdam...

This was a nice little hotel, the rooms are small and it's a bit shabby but it was a great location (less than 5 mins walk to Museum Square) and it was a really good price. The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but a reasonable choice, and the whole hotel seemed to be really clean. I'd stay again.

Thank you for taking your time to write the review about our hotel. Sorry that your stay wasn't as enjoyable as you wished. As our website clearly states, we don't have a bar in the hotel. And no picture on our website suggests the presence of a bar. The smoke detectors in the entire hotel are fixed in the correct...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
