Twin room was standard (not too big) everything clean enough (but not perfect) easygoing staff. Very good location: next to the Museums, tram stops and 100 meters away from the bus stop where the airport bus take you for only 5 euros!! The hotel is nice decorated and has an old lift kind of romantic

Approx. 2 months in advance by credit card on internet I pre paid ALL charges for 3 nights stay. The ONLY room offered was at lobby front door, with large window on to very busy street, with very small improvised bathroom, and single bed in room approx. 7 feet by 10 feet in size. Desk clerk initially copied my passport,...

My husband and I stayed for 5 nts. from lst September and were made very welcome and comfortable. . We had "The Garden Room" No. 4 which was not large, but sufficient for our stay. We could open the doors directly on to the courtyard and as the weather was warm and sunny this was a real bonus. The room...

My daughter and I enjoy ed a pleasant 5 night stay in this hotel in August this year. We were in room 2 on the ground floor which is at the front of the hotel. The room was nicely decorated but was noisy on the friday night but otherwise acceptable the rest of the stay. The reception staff were very...

I have been there 4 times. The first time i booked a "small double room" and, yes, of course was small. Next times i booked a standard one and was really better, not a lot more expensive. In any case rooms are clean and the breakfast is good, start at 8:00 but you can ask for it also before this...

This hotel is ideally placed as it' s on a direct bus route from the airport and has a bus and tram stop almost right outside. The room we stayed in was small but very clean and comfortable, and as it was at the back looking over a tennis court,it was very quiet at night. Breakfast was good with a reasonable...

The hotel is just a few steps away from Museumplein in a quiet residential area, in front of the concert hall. It is well connected both to the city centre and the airport, as there is a tram-bus stop just in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean, large and silent. The continental Breakfast is rich. The staff is...

If your intention is to have a nice clean place to get at night, have privacy, and get a decent breakfast in the morning this is a great place. The location is fantastic. Got a room at a second floor facing the back buildings and everything OK. The rooms are very small, but then again, I just wanted it to...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
