Really good location, close to museums, tram station bars and redundant- walking distance to the centre close to 30 mins. Super clean and the staff especially Julia were extensive extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was also decent. Overall I loved it and I am looking forward to come back

The rooms are clean, hotel staff are nice and helpful. There was no telephone in the room so the reception staff knocked at my door at 8 am for a phone call that they supposed is for me even if my name had nothing to do with the person they looked for. Bathroom is super small and there s no shower cabin,is just an open space with a curtain. The sink was leaking every time I turned on the water. Unfortunately you can hear everything that s hapening outside your room like it was just there with you. The place is ok for the money.

We stayed once before at this hotel. For the second and the third time we bought a promotion with a discounted price + check-out at 23:00 h. We booked for the same promotion two weekends apart from each other. As soon as we arrived, even with the printed confirmation, they told us that we had to leave the next morning before 11:00 AM and that it was a system mistake and we had to leave. Just like that, we were not offered to leave at 14:00 or a place to leave our luggages. They also wanted to cancel that weekend "because we payed a cheaper price". It was raining cats and dogs so we said that we would like to stay that weekend but to cancel the next one. They broke the printed reservation for the next time in our face and told us "you cancel it yourself on the website". The only procedure to cancel is sending an e-mail requesting the cancelation and wait for their confirmation... We asked for the complaints book and neither they had one, so again we had to send an e-mail. The owner, a sort of Italian man even said: "where are you going to go to publish this, Twitter?" If a company doesn't respect the written agreements and disrespect their customers then it is not the best place to be. You can fiend others hotel like the "Alfred Hotel" close by for the same price.

Nice size and remodeled cool room. Clean and close to Leidseplein. It would be nice to have a fridge and reception people could try to be more friendly. Never tried the breakfast. Would stay again if back in Amsterdam.

We simply walked to anywhere we want to go. Rooms were nice and clean, stuff was ready to help. Not a first class hotel but ideal for couples who needs good and not expensive accomodation. I would like to visit again.

There is no A/C in the rooms, you can not use the elevator in some rooms. The hotel staff is rude with the people and the service of them is a bad one. Thinks twice if you want to been in this hotel, your trip can be damaged.

This hotel is simply a gem. Although not the newest or fanciest, the price is very reasonable, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is good, and the location is excellent. We arrived early morning after an over-night flight, and although our room wasn't ready, they offered us a room to rest (obviously we had to pay for it - but it was reasonable and worth it) until our room was ready. After a good rest, we went out for the rest of the day, and they moved our bags for us. The hotel was conveniently located to the Tram, and was walking distance to the Rijksmuseum. We had a wonderful stay there and would definitely consider staying there again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

I booked a stay from 15 to 17 june 2009, by booking.com. Unfortunately, somehow the reservation had been put to 15-17 october. I realized that only when I got to the hotel, talking to the clerk. It was a non-refundable reservation, but due to the situation, as I didn't have any bad will, I tried to have a refund from the hotel. Unsuccessful this request, so I contacted booking.com to fix the problem. In fact they tried, but the hotel was resolved to remain with my money, and nor enough effort was made, by the managers, to lodge us (me and my wife) in other property. The clerk was polite and tried to help, but instead of that, the managers just ignored that it was a matter of justice: if there was no bad intention, but only an error during the booking, the amount should be returned. This fact shows exactly the truth: when dealing with this hotel, be aware.

This hotel was a last minute booking as my friend never got back to me about hotels and what we should do. Went to hotel found out that my card hadn't been charged and had to pay cash on arrival in which case I had to go and get some money at atm or I would of been charged an additional fee by the hotel. This was not clear in the booking process. I was disappointed by this (from a third party hotel website - app). I was allowed to checkin and go to room then go to ATM shortly after so tho not good was managed well by hotel.Tho. I don't understand why I wasn't charged on the hotel booking site. The room was Top Floor which was fine and I went in the lift which was old but had a lot of charm to it as had been refurbished recently. The room was immaculately clean. Was nice decent size for 2 people tho I was solo. LCD TV with lots of channels, phone and good sized bathroom. There was no shelf for personal bathroom items but the refurbished bathroom was really nice and clean and spacious for my needs. Nice walk-in shower good hot water. Tea/Coffee facilities was provided and the warm was nice and warm with a nice view. Room service was daily and the room service lady was very warm and friendly and attentive to detail. My towels were replaced daily which is nice but for the environment not essential as I would be happy to leave on floor and have replaced upon request rather then daily. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We understood each other. During my stay I took note of the hotel staff helping newly arriving guests feel welcomed. Very comfortable hotel in a great location with friendly staff. Great location 10/20 mins speed walk to gay area.

This hotel is located in 5 minutes walk from Van Gogh Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Concert Hall, very convenient! There are a large underground supermarket in 5 minutes. The staff is very attentive. We came to settle in an hour and a half earlier, we didn’t sleep the whole night because of the flight, and our room was quickly prepared, we were offered coffee and a place to wait, in half an hour we were able to check in. Many thanks! The room was quite small but all needed were there. There are little yard, nice dining room, breakfasts were quite good (not much variety but tasty).
