Very small and uncomfortable bathroom. The only positive bit would be the shower, large enough to accomodate two persons. As for the rest, one can't even hang the towels ans there is not enough space to keep a couple of beauty cases by the sink For (poor) breakfast, one also needs tomake his own orange juice by squeezeing with a...

Very enjoyable experience. Clean and tidy - daily room clean and fresh towels. Rooms are all you need, double bed, en-suite and tv, etc. Nice hearty breakfast on offer in the mornings Could not fault the hotel or its staff, very helpful. - When asked about plug socket converters, staff lent me one to use for the duration of my...

Stayed here for the weekend and was very impressed indeed, fine sized room with plenty of space, a nice sized shower which was very modern and very clean. 20-25 minutes walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal Station. 15 minutes walking distance to all the bars and nightlife of the red light district. The receptionists at the front desk were very friendly,...

We visited this hotel for a long weekend (Friday - Monday) as a group of guys on a stag weekend. The hotel was well priced and very well located. 15 minutes stroll got you well into the heart of Central Amsterdam, the walk along the way was also very interesting. We had a bed and breakfast booking. the rooms were...

The hotel is about 8 min. Walk to the nearest metro station and they have bicycles to rent . Very helpful staff but as for our arrival , we had to stay about 1 hour before receiving our rooms although our arrival was after the normal check-in time , otherwise , it was nice experience .

I'm a big fan of Ibis hotels, we always know what we will fine, good quality and good price. Perfect for a road trip. Ibis City Stopera is clean, with nice people, a good location, very cheap considering the service and silent. It was a very good stay and I recommend it.

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
