Very nice hotel, beautiful entrance and super efficient staff. Room was cosy, very comfortable bed, nice furniture. Despite being big, with many guests, I NEVER had to wait for anything, key when you're constantly running for time as when on business travels. I would recommend it with no hesitation.

Just had a long weekend stay at this hotel and I couldn't find any faults whatsoever. Our room was cleaned daily, we had a quiet room on the 5th floor, stunning bathroom with underfloor heating and the customer service was excellent. This hotel was prime location and we didn't have far to walk. Will definitely stay here again. :)

We just had one quick night here but would definitely return to stay here again. Lovely clean and recently refurbished hotel. We walked over to the Red Light District which was about a 7min walk stopping along the way at a coffee shop and bar. Just a great hotel, I highly recommend it!

Just got back from a long weekend in Amsterdam, was there with 4 friends for a birthday break. Nice hotel in a great location in Central Amsterdam. Very nice bar, didn't eat there so can't comment on restaurants. No pool though which would have been a nice positive but nothing negative about the hotel.

Thank you for this great review. Although most guest choose to enjoy the city we wish there was space to build a pool too!

My friend and I booked into the Radisson blu to attend a 2 day course. We had a Superior Dble with twin beds, which was ok. Have stayed in larger Superior rooms, the bathrobes were lovely though. Breakfast was fantastic! Location ideal for accessing lots of different shops and eateries. Housekeeping was disappointing - we had to ring to ask...

Far enough from the Red Light District to be quiet. Close enough to museums, shops, restaurants, and coffee shops that you won't need (or want) a cab. The hotel itself is elegant and well laid out. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is extremely good. Smoked salmon, eggs prepared the way you want, even a cappuccino (a really good one)...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
