This is a smaller hotel on a pedestrian street only 10 min. walk from Centraal Station. We stayed 4 nights in the junior suite which spacious and cozy both. It was perfect for our needs, comfortable and quiet (we were at the back overlooking the church). Staff here must have attended the same hospitality school because they were equally friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. We are decades long travellers and it is so rare to find staff like Dirk, Dalaina, and Krizzle who treat you like a valued guest not just a customer. Most everything you may want is an easy walk from the hotel.

This is a reasonable hotel with a clean and comfortable room but very basic in facilities. It is great if all you want is a bed for the night. Don’t expect to be waited on hand and foot. There are no public rooms apart from the adjoining restaurant where a basic self service continental breakfast is served. The public face of the hotel appears to operate on the basis of a single staff member, each of whom we found to be friendly and helpful. However, because the receptionist appears also to be responsible for ensuring that the breakfast buffet is kept topped up, there isn’t always someone available to speak to when something is needed. The pillow was a little too soft for my liking (although that is personal preference) with no alternative offered and there was also a shortage of hangers and towels (and during our stay toilet paper). However, we did manage to get the towels and hangars supplemented, with the toilet paper issue resolved by raiding the one toilet offered as part of the hotel’s general facilities! The deal which we had book well in advance was probably just about value for money for such basic facilities although we did note that the price had risen considerably nearer the time of our stay and that may not have been good value. The hotel was conveniently located in a quiet part of town but be aware (as elsewhere in the city) of the large number of bicycles travelling at vast speeds from all different directions.

This is a charming renovated hotel in a good location for walking to museums and the canals. The staff is generally very helpful and the all day open bar and light evening appetizers was very nice. I took off 1 star because we arrived after a trans-Atlantic flight at 10:00 AM. We intended to drop our bags and explore if we were unable to check in early, which we have been able to do at other European or US hotels. We were surprised when the desk attendant said "Your room is ready and to check in early, it will cost $75 Euros." This is an uncommon practice as whenever a room has been ready, we have been allowed to check in. I hope they change the policy.

arrived in the room (2 nights for 500 euros) there is dust everywhere and the cleaning leaves something to be desired. I call the reception who makes the cleaning service intervene which does not solve anything. Bathroom with broken shelf; coffee stained sheets. ruined sheets. I pointed this out to the owner who said don't look at the details. He hasn't offered us any refunds. Embarrassing experience.

My husband and I spent the last 2 nights of our honeymoon in Amsterdam. We were so pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the penthouse suite that had the most incredible view of Amsterdam I have ever seen. They even wrote a handwritten card and put balloons in our room. I mean - how amazing is that?!
We loved the location because it was off the main drag and much quieter and calmer than a lot of Amsterdam Central. There were a few great coffee shops and walking distance to everything we needed. We never used a tram or taxi the entire time we were there.
Great front desk staff, friendly and helpful. About a 10 minute walk to the train station. Not bad at all, but a little challenging if you have a lot of luggage with the cobblestone roads and bikes/people. Just something to keep in mind if you have a lot of stuff with you.
The downsides were: bed was incredibly hard (and I like a firm bed). The hotel had AC but it wasn't allowed to be turned on in April - so it was hot in the room for us.

Me and my boyfriend are just on our way back from a lovely stay at the hotel. Every staff member we met was so polite, friendly and very helpful even recommending good pubs/bars to go to. The room was lovely, very spacious and clean. We can’t thank all the staff enough for such a lovely and welcoming stay!

Very conveniently located within 10 minutes walk of Amsterdam Central Station, which was the main reason we chose it. The hotel is located on a busy street in a former bank building. Our room was very large, essentially a bed sitting room, quiet (important in Amsterdam) and well appointed with a comfortable bed, decent lighting and a refrigerator. The hotel serves breakfast in the restaurant next door. The prices are reasonable for overpriced Amsterdam. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in nearby walking distance.

Not as advertised and no apologies from staff. The room types included at the hotel, per their website, are not exclusive on their amenities/inclusions. As in their penthouse shows it comes with a balcony and a tub in the room but that’s “only one of their penthouses.” As we tell them upon checkin that we were disappointed that the room didn’t have the promised features we were most excited about, there’s no apology or offer of room change, concession, etc. Very disappointing. We could’ve booked a much better room other places around the city for this price if it weren’t for us believing the pictures and descriptions provided would match the reality of the room. Would not recommend unless you’re doing a basic room, although you still may not get what is promised.

There are 2 double rooms with terraces on the 4th floor but I think these are standard/ small. Penthouses on the 5th floor didn't look like having a balcony and I don't know about other rooms.
