Hotel is in the South, near RAI train station. Office area, so outside central Ansterdam. Easy to park ( free on weekends and holidays) near hotel. Not a strolling area - need a bike or car, or need train to go to central. I liked it because it is modern, has a spa on top floor, and good breakfast and dinner. Did not give 5 stars because I saw the dining staff ate from the serving containers right in front of people. Need better management. Also in restaurant.
This is a fantastic hotel. We have stayed here one night and it was a great on all fronts. A spectacular view, extremely nice staff, excellent restaurant with a creative menu. You can easily stay here if you have a special diet, as there is a chef in the kitchen with special knowledge about all kinds of food. On the top floor is a beautiful spa wellness: relaxing in a sauna with a superb view over Amsterdam! The room is modern, nicely decorated with a centered bed and the room is very well equipped. Their main goal is to make sure guests have a pleasant stay: they very well succeeded in that! We would love to return.
The hotel is very new and nicely furnished. Spacious rooms, all very clean. However, there are quite some bits and pieces missing to make this really good! The check-in was the most unpersonal and unprofessional I`ve experienced in years. "Hello, how can i help you" and "this is your room key" was the only thing the guy said... after quizzing him about internet, breakfast, dinner, wellness I slowly got all information I needed, but it felt like it was me walking him thru all the important points, but well, maybe a new guy... needs some training thought! Wellness: I dont understand why they built a very beautiful and large space like this, but then are cookie-cutter with all the services around. No slippers, no bathrobes... just water to drink. A hot-water dispencer and some tea-bags would already make a great difference... where is the wellness aspect!? I would rather have one sauna or steam room less, but then at least "some" service around it. My further experiences: - extreme long waiting time during dinner... food was good though. - breakfast was ok, but really nothing speacial. Cost optimized in every aspect.…
This weekend we spend a night in the Van der Valk Zuidas. We are a frequent Van der Valk visitor and are extremely fond of the new style Van der Valk Hotels. But Zuidas is so far the best. The staf the rooms, the location, the welness....everything is spot on! We booked an Executive Room for our stay on the top 13th floor, this room has it all. A great view over the city, an open bathroom, with seperate shower, of course a seperate rest room all perfect. We booked the spa for 1 hour, which was really nice as well.....simply a brilliant hotel and well worth the money. With the taxi or bike easy to go to the city center...
Van der Valk Amsterdam Zuidas is very conveniently located, close to train and bus stations and near the Zuidas business area. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious — as one may expect from a Van der Valk. A nice touch that comes with this specific restaurant, is the great view that one has whilst dining on the fifth floor. Wonderful!
Stayed here one night for buisiness, had a meal in the room (Covid) and was please. Room is superb, meal very good, people at front desk very pleasant. Indoor parking was included. Online reservation worked well. Worth the price.
What a great view of Amsterdam, a unique experience, a great lay-out of the room with enormous windows, Very friendly service. In-room dinner was lovely. Bed centrally located in the room facing the window. Will definitely come back!
