The hotel has a great location in the Museum Quarter and is only a short walk, canal boat, tram or bus trip away from all Amsterdam has to offer. The staff in the hotel were very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, the honesty bar was well stocked and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was the room(204), the "large double"...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and on arrival we were upgraded to an Executive Room (82). A lovely room with a whirlpool/spa bath and a TV at the end! Our room was basement level and our view however was of the fire exit steps but the room was a decent size, strangely the basin was in the...

Quiet street and lovely boutique hotel. Room with all amenities. Very comfortable and air-conditioned. Coffee/tea facilities in room and honesty bar available downstairs. Tram stops very close by. Staff extremely friendly and efficient - "our every wish was their command". In fact we felt very spoilt. We have been staying their twice a year since they opened and the JL76...

Stayed for 3 nights in an executive deluxe. Very nice room with lovely balcony overlooking the street. On arrival we were greeted by Andre. A very helpful and charming man. He couldn't do enough for us. From organising an upgrade to telling us all the places we had to visit. Room was comfortable and bed even more so. We even...

The hotel was cute, in a great location by the museums. The rooms are on the smaller side but are nice. There is a coffee bar in the lobby that is really nice but everything you get from there is pretty expensive... I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want to be in the middle of...

A lovely hotel located in the heart of the Museumplein in Amsterdam. This district is lovely and quiet and a far cry from the Red Light District and coffee shops. It is located near to Leidseplein so entertainment, food and bars are just two tram stops away or alternatively a ten minute walk. The staff were friendly and efficient and...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
