Lovely hotel in a good location for the museums – our room was comfortable, clean, and relatively spacious – the staff was very professional, helpful, and engaging – Special praise goes to Thomas Weesjes, The manager as he was very attentive and knowledgeable.

Very friendly and laid back hotel, very modern but comfortable. Very friendly and affable staff. Honesty bar in foyer worked a treat. Clean and tastefully furnished rooms with a comfortable bed and tea-making facilities. Sink outside bathroom an unusual feature! Worth going for a superior room on higher floor it seems. Didn't have breakfast as we don't eat much in...

I stayed in room 92 which is located on the 1st floor near the elevator and the hotel's lobby. I was worried about the noise...

Very nice hotel with a very pleasant and helpful staff. Our room was by far the best room during our 2 weeks in Europe. We were pleasantly surprised to get a room upgrade upon arrival. The location near the museums was perfect and the rest of Amsterdam was easily accessible by public transport. We regretted leaving.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
