The fantastic staff at this hotel helped me and my girlfriend when we first moved to Amsterdam and found that we were being scammed through our apartment. Nora and Sergio helped find room in the hotel for the next two nights and also set me up with estate agents and new potential apartments. I couldn't have asked for a better response to such a terrible thing happening, and will make sure that all my visiting friends and family stay here! Thank you so much!

My aunt and I stayed here about a year ago, before Covid, and have nothing but praise for it. We had come to the Netherlands for just three days as a last minute addition to a much longer trip. The staff helped us make the most of that limited time. The woman we checked in with asked us about our interests and tailored her recommendations to us. My aunt is very fond of flowers and art, I of history, and so she recommended the Tulip Museum, the Anne Frank House, the Mauristhuis, and the Keukenhof Gardens, each of which we enjoyed immensely! She also noted as we were checking in that we would be staying for my aunt's birthday. When we returned to our room the evening of, we found that a gift of chocolates, some flowers, and a note had been left for her! It's a boutique hotel situated in an older building, but the room in which we stayed was fully updated, modern, spacious, and absolutely spotless. No matter who we spoke to or how numerous our requests (help with bookings, sightseeing ideas, flattened boxes to safely transport artwork we had purchased, etc.) the staff were always friendly courteous, and happy to assist. As a travel blogger this hotel easily ranks in my top five hotels in the world, so I wholeheartedly recommend a stay here if you every find yourself in Amsterdam.

Location of the hotel is central enough yet not in the middle of masses of people, everything within walking distance. It is very close to the well known Albert Cuyp market and Pijp neighborhood so there is plenty to do! The room is big enough, the bathroom is very large and once you get into that shower, believe me, you never want to step out again. All the necessary amenities were there including a water boiler, coffee machine etc. The bed was large and so comfortable. Nasya at the reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She put us both in a great mood for the rest of the day after checkin. I had to make some changes to arrival day due to unexpected circumstances and the hotel was very accommodating. The hotel was very compliant with all the covid19 regulations. As a result of that areas like the bar are closed but that is completely understandable at this time. I would absolutely recommend this to any of my friends. Great value for money.

Dear madam/ sir, Thank you so much for giving us the perfect score in the review that you wrote. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful stay with us and that you enjoyed all aspects of the hotel. It was a pleasure to read that you appreciated the location, room and service so much. I cannot agree more that the shower is indeed great. We have installed these bigger rainshower heads at the beginning of this year and we are very pleased with the quality, resulting in an even more comfortable shower than before. Please be assured that we will forward you compliments to Nasya. We hope that we may welcome you again when you visit Amsterdam next time. Warm regards, Sven van Maanen Hotel Manager

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Hotel Notting Hill for 2 days over a weekend in December 2019 (just before Christmas). It was an anniversary present from her to me and she had been given a free room surprise because of that. Upon arrival, which was early than we were allowed to check in, they sat us down and allowed us to keep our luggage tucked away safely at reception until we could check in properly. There was a slight card issue and they were very understanding and we got it sorted nice and fast. Upon sorting the card issue, we sat in their bar for a short while before checking if our room was ready. It was ready, but the lovely receptionist asked if we had any plans and we told her our plans but that Sunday was more of an "explore day". She gave us a map and showed us how to get to all the places we wanted to go to, and also explained the different sections of Amsterdam (tourist, local etc..). A lovely touch. We headed up to our room after a long day of travelling and there was a beautiful heart of rose petals on the bed, some small bottles of champagne and a lovely box of chocolates to share. There were also a few Notting Hill goodies (little things like a phone holder) which were also nice mementos of the trip. We had wonderful breakfasts in the hotel on both days (a lot of choice) and they were very chatty asking about where we had been and what we'd thought of certain areas. They also remembered us specifically as the lovely receptionist from before asked me, on the Sunday Morning, if I'd appreciated my surprise and I told her it was lovely. Our first trip abroad together was made exceptional by a lovely hotel, amazing room, lovely atmosphere anda brilliant hotel staff. If I ever come back to Amsterdam, there is no where else I would stay.
