Room was clean. This hotel actually had air conditioning, not like other European hotels that have a “cooling system” but it doesn’t keep the room cool at all. If you are an American, the rooms are smaller than we are used to. But it was still a decent size - Deluxe Double Room The front desk hosts were excellent - friendly, provided helpful assistance for what to do and where to go, great service, etc. Overall great experience and recommend. I hope whoever reads this has the same experience.
Clean and nice place. The location was perfect and very friendly stuff. I was a little disappointed for the breakfast. Very overboiled egg, over cooked scrambled eggs. Only non fat yoghurt and strange smoothie. The bread and the coffee was ok.
Very satisfying stay in the tiny but very comfortable room (smallest room booked). My complements to the hotel staff professional and personal approach in assisting us to venture into this beautiful city. The hotel and its rooms are well key clean and fresh. Morning breakfast well organized and satisfactory
The location is terrific. The hotel is clean and updated. We had breakfast included and it had a variety of food: eggs, breads, bacon, sausage, cheese, fruit (also fruit salad). Coffee machine available at all times. Kitchen staff very polite and the eating area was always clean. They provided gluten-free bread! The desk staff were amazing! Always took a few minutes to ask about your daily plans and also offered suggestions of sights or best transportation. We walked to Anne Frank house, Vondelpark, Van Gogh museum. Very close is a bus station for a bus to the airport. It was better than taking the tram to Centraal station to go to the airport. We would definitely stay there again.
The location was amazing! You are a close walking distance to everything without all the noise and crowds closer to the Centraal Station. The continental breakfast was delicious and more than enough food to keep us going! The staff also accommodated our gluten free requests (and even offered to store products in their fridge if we needed). The cleaning staff did an amazing job everyday. The room was more spacious than we expected (we got a deluxe room with a double bed) and had a HUGE bathroom. The hallways and staircase are small, but that is typical in Amsterdam. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We will 100% be returning!
We stayed here for two nights in late April. I like the location - it's about a 20 minute walk from Central station - and feels less 'touristy' for this reason. The check in chap was friendly and helpful, and I like that everyone was very warm and friendly. The room we booked was a twin bunk which we were excited to try. I'm quite tall and was able to sleep comfortably without my feet touching the end wall. The mattress was soft and comfy, and in theory I should have slept very well. The heat up high though meant that I struggled. My niece in the lower bunk faired better - heat rises right? The bathroom was spotless and the shower good. And the coffee machine was a nice touch. Overall the room was great - better than expected! - but the size in general was smaller than it looked on the website's photos. (I booked directly with them.) Definitely a great hotel, but if you like some room to move around, there are better options.…
We picked Krisotel because of its location allowing walk-to attractions in historic Amsterdam. Despite cold, rainy weather in early April, we were able to get around to the Anne Frank Museum, the Rijkmuseum, the Concertgebow and the Van Gogh Museum quite easily. We were a one- to five -minute walk from trams that took us to the parts of Amsterdam that were further away. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful for several issues we encountered while there, including help getting to COVID-19 testing centers on Easter day! The cleaning staff were also impeccable for our needs. The Krisotel is not a glam hotel but checked off all our wants and needs for a memorable vacation.
The location and the staff are good. The room is reasonable clean. That’s the positive side. The room can amble contain a bed. If you have large luggage your need all your creativity maneuver to the bathroom. About the bathroom, if you are over 1.80 / 6ft you have to sit on the toilet with the door open. That make it only suitable for very intimate couples. The elevator and the hall matches the room, too small to be conformable.
I only stayed in Krisotel for one night thankfully, from the moment we entered the vibe just wasn't enjoyable. I had already paid online but had to pay another 6 euro for what i'm not exactly sure. Perhaps we were just unfortunate with the room we were given but the whole experience was abysmal for the price. Our room was at the bottom of a staircase, the stairs were dirty and in need of a good hoover, the area also smelled unfresh like stairwells pre-smoking ban. The room was very small which was fine, I understand we are in Amsterdam but there was barely room to swing a cat. It also lacked amenities, There was a coffee machine but no milk or water, no fridge. When I asked for dairy-free milk, they said they didn't have any, again I find this poor for a hotel that markets itself as a boutique hotel. I had forgotten my toothbrush and when I asked for a disposable one they said they didn't have any. They were very unhelpful when I asked for an adaptor for my mom who had travelled. I didn't get any sleep because people were running up and down the stairs and slamming doors all night, they had to be staff as there was a room for staff beside our room. It also sounded like a washing machine was going all night beside our room. In the moring it was almost impossible to get ready as we were basically stuck in a basement with was zero light. Overall a very disappointing experience, I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was definitely one of the most disappointing. Almost 300 to be stuck in a basement and not even have breakfast or any basic amenities included. Very very poor.…
