Fantastic hotel just one stop from Centraal Station. The neighborhood has great restaurants, a 5-10 min walk to metro, and a grocery store across the street. If you are ok with a bit of walking and not being moments away from the center of the city, this is the choice. The free breakfast makes things simple, the rooms are efficient and clean, and the view from upper floors is wonderful.
We enjoyed our stay in the Noord, very nice hotel with friendly staff (special thanks to Robin!). Our room had a stunning view of the city, specially for sunset ! Breakfast was good although reduced due to COVID. Close to a good market and very good seafood restaurant (the stork), and Adam tower with its amazing Swing ! We will come back !
The room is clean and nice. Breakfast is not very nice. Every day the same cheap things. Hotel is 2 metro stations from Amsterdam central station. The area around the hotel is quite compared with the centre. Its a big hotel without special feeling
I booked 5 rooms for 3 nights at this hotel for a family trip. We are a family that takes the public transportation and like to walk a lot so the fact that it was across the river from the Central station was no big deal. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the closest station. There is also a ferry but we never took that. We got to the hotel early, around 10am and asked if they would store our luggage but our rooms were ready so they checked us in early! The hotel breakfast was very good despite being very busy every morning, especially since it was included. There is also a grocery store across the parking lot that has a wonderful selection of fresh ready to eat foods you can buy and sit in their cafe at a very reasonable price so one day we did that for lunch. There is a restaurant and bar on site.. We ate dinner one night and found the food and drinks to be pretty good. We would stay here again.…
The restaurant on site took over 1.5 hours to bring food ordered and they still did not have everything on the menu. The bar cannot make drinks because they claim not to have ingredients. Also had to wait one day for 15 mins at front desk because as there were no one to help with my key not working The room itself was fine. The breakfast was good but crowded. This is one HIE to big for the staff they have
Spotlessly clean modern hotel with great views! Late check out available. Lunch menu is quite limited but the fabulous Stork restaurant is a couple of minutes walk away. Very pleasant place to stay for one night, and I would likely return for longer in future.
Great hotel, From the pics it looks like it could be tatty and dated BUT ITS NOT, it’s a superb hotel, great inside, great rooms, great staff, food, bar, food and breakfast. 2 mins from the free little boat across the water (100 times day, every 10 mins, free and take about 4 mins) goes to central station. 5 mins from the metro that goes to central station, costs about €1.50 Brilliant place
Overall great experience and nice location! It was nice to be a 7 minute train ride (overall 15-20 minute commute to Centraal) from the main tourist hub, while having a breath of fresh air, nature, and space you can’t find in main Amsterdam. Large welcoming, lobby and big free breakfast spread. You should plan a bit to account for breakfast timings because the buffet line can get long. Rooms was clean, updated, and on the smaller end but spacious enough given its a European city. Bathrooms are very and renovated! No shower curtain in our bathroom though. We had a couple rooms with queen bed on 10th floor with nice views of the city. Appreciated the friendly staff and coming back here after a long day of touring. There is a huge Whole Foods style grocery story down the street from the hotel and few snack shops near by.…
I know, the rating might look harsh but is based on a personal bad experience. Despite notifying the hotel that we will checkin late and getting the acknowledgment from the hotel, we were surprised on our visit. When I tried to checkin, the staff on the reception told me that they are full. I was angry as I travelled all the way and reached the hotel at 10pm to hear that the hotel is full. Then what was the point of advanced booking almost 2 months ago? We were not alone, there 3 more couples facing the same issue. They said that they are overbooked due to other third party providers. Well, we had no other option left but we waited as they offered to provide an alternate hotel for a night. They booked a taxi and booked the NH hotel room which was 20 minutes away from this hotel via taxi. Without any doubt, NH hotel was a great hotel with excellent breakfast. We reached the hotel at 3AM and had to check out at 11am in the morning. The point is, the replacement was nice however alot of valuable time was lost and also we could not rest properly due to which we were tired the next day. I had a tour planned in the morning at 11am which ofcourse missed out due to this situation. There is no compensation for the time. When we. checkedin the next morning, ofcourse they apologised but I did not had much energy to complain more and did not want to spoil my remaining vacation days. As a compensation, they gave us a voucher for 2 free drinks. When we were checking out, the manager personally offered a discount if I would visit again with the best possible services. Now, coming to the hotel, the room was super clean and beautiful. the location was not too far from the center. The breakfast was also nice. If there was no problem during the checkin, the stay would have been perfect at the hotel. So, the people who are reading this review and willing to book this hotel, double check and let them know to keep your room available to avoid inconvenience.…
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The minute you walk in the door the big open communal space and reception area! All staff were extremely helpful and nice. We arrived in Amsterdam much earlier than the check in time and they had our room ready which was fantastic. The room we had was on the 10th floor Looking out onto the mail river. Breakfast was a buffet style and very busy but plenty of tables around. We rented bikes for 16€ a day and I’d highly recommend to do this as it genuinely gets you around much quicker. Free ferry back and forth (F2) and so frequent. Only downfall is how far away the hotel is from the main area in Amsterdam but this doesn’t change my view on the hotel and I’d definitely go back! Thank you to Roman and Juul they were the main guys we dealt with.
