I can't really fault anything with the room itself as its big, everything works, beautifully decorated and did I mention it was big? However it sells itself as a 4* hotel and charges itself as such. It is not a hotel, it is a luxurious hostel and one without any type of reception or indication at the entrance. If you...

Felt like home! Luxurious and quiet, even if located close to the center. Walking distance to everywhere. Coffee facilities with lovely mini cakes every morning. Very comfortable and spacious for a couple. I still remember the light and warm feeling of the bed! Great choice!!!

This isn't a 'normal' hotel, you get a numeric pincode emailed to you a week before your stay, plug it into the keypad at the door to get in. You have to pull your bags up three flights of stairs, which took my husband about 1 minute and you only have to do it once. You use the same code...

Stayed for two nights over the weekend for wedding anniversary celebration. Forget the negative reviews, this place does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not a hotel and doesn't claim to be one so if you want a reception, concierge, restaurant, telephone etc. then stay elsewhere. Instructions to find the place were e-mailed the week before with the...

The address is wrong on all sites. The address is 3 not 1. There is no sign to let you know the property is anything more than a residence. The stairs are incredibly steep and narrow and if it hadn't been for the obliging young man who came to help us we would not have been able to carry our...

No front desk so you use a PIN to get in both the main door and your room which was perfectly fine with us. No problems using it at all and the PIN was sent to us in plenty of time before our trip. We were even able to come in earlier than our check in time to drop our...

it was hard to find it as there is no sign and no reception. We arrived early morning so we had to wait till 12pm coz that's when our code was activated. You have to go up the tiny stairs with you luggage :s Room was very nice and spacious, bathroom was nice and clean, however we think there was...

First, the address listed on Tripadvisor is wrong. The house number is 3 and not 1. The reason why it is important to mention is because you can't see from the outside that this is a hotel. It looks like a standard house door. There's NO reference at all of AMS suites at the entry. I wonder if this place...

Nice room, excellent bed & bathroom, but...water hasn't got enough pressure so showering took very long... Very good situated for my visit at ADE, it was only 3 minutes away from the conference so ideal.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
