We had a great stay At Museum Suites. The staff were lovely and the breakfast excellent. The area has a good selection of restaurants and boutique shopping as well as being very close to the main museums. Thoroughly recommended

We are visiting Amsterdam quite a few times in a year and usually stay at a hotel. We now have found our place to stay! The Museum Suites are fantastic! The suites are in a large " maison de maitre" house and are incredible. The whole atmosphere breaths luxury, calm and sophistication; the staff are very nice and helpful and...

My sister and I travelled to Amsterdam and stayed at Museum Suites in the Vermeer Suite. Staff was lovely and accommodating outside of business hours. It's a great boutique hotel, very clean and cosy. The location is amazing and right next to the Museum district which we thought was the most beautiful place to stay anyway! 10min walk from the...

We had a great stay at Museum Suites. The Family Room is perfect for families with children as it has a bedroom with twin beds and pull-out couch in the living room. Additional couch, table with chairs and a kitchen corner makes this a friendly little apartment. And the breakfast is lovely!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay the Museum Suites. The Rembrandt suite was comfortable yet luxe and the ensuite was superb. Unprompted, the staff went out of their way to help with tourist information and even washing our baby's soiled clothes! A truly lovely stay, thank you!

This hotel, with only four rooms, is located in a quiet neighbourhood. There are tram & bus stops only a few minutes away however which makes the city centre very accessible. Amsterdam is an incredibly busy place so staying in Museum Suites gives the best of both worlds. Kim is very friendly & knowlegable as a host. The building &...

Didn't really want to leave a review because no doubt this little gem of a hotel will surly become more popular and that making the chances of it being available next time I visit slim but I was that impressed with the staff and location of the hotel I felt I really had to leave a review. Can not fault...

Okay, this is the best of all worlds; the luxury of a first class hotel, the friendliness of a good bed and breakfast, and the convenience of an excellent aparthotel. The rooms are stunningly good, ours comprising of a bedroom, ensuite, and lounge including a kitchen area. The hotel was in a lovely area, near not only to the museums,...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
