The best (from many many hotels) that I have stayed where the staff are respectful, full of energy, homely and just flat-out great! nothing is too much - the hotel is ideally located and rooms are small, but really effective and comfortable. great sleeps!
Small rooms with essentially all features controlled by an iPad mini including climate control, lights, TV and more. There's essentially no place for luggage and only one chair in the tiny rooms. There's access to the bed only on one side. The shades and curtains are automatic an very nice.
Very fast check-in / check-out (do it yourself). Very helpful and smiling employees. Good breakfast. The negative point is the size of the room, not enough storage space and no space around the bed, you have to jump on it.
We couldn’t be happier than this hotel, self check in and check out within two minutes, very impressed with the technology and how we can control the setting of the room with the App or iPad including the blinds, lights, colors of the light in the restroom, temperature and TV. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was 24/7 no matter how late there’s always a staff around. Beautiful designer furnitures and artworks, a lot of artsy books to read, full of energy and positive vibes in this hotel.
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, we really loved everything. Starting from the room- it was very clean and modern, everything was automated. The lobby and staff service were working 24 hours. The staff was very friendly and really helpful. We loved our stay there and will definitely return back. There is no place like this in Amsterdam. Totally recommend.
As others have posted, they opt you out automatically of having your room cleaned. You have to request it each day you want it. They don't tell you this at check-in or anywhere so you're just left to find out when your room isn't clean when you return. When I told them I did want my room cleaned, they said too bad you have to request it the day before. They try to portray this as if they're saving the world and donate a pittance to some charity of their own making when your room isn't cleaned. Let's be real though. The reason the room cleaning is opt-in only instead of opt-out is because they save a ton of money not hiring enough staff to clean rooms. They already automate check-in so it's clear they want the minimum staff to run the place. In addition, the food was not great. Both the pizza and breakfast were poor. Their living room motif next to two meeting rooms is not that apecial. The staff's response to my concerns was too bad don't care which I find unacceptable. CitizenM has lost me as a customer.…
Friendly staff. Always really helpful. Comfortable beds, as wide as the room almost. Lovely shower. Very clean hotel. Lovely lobby with nice seating. No way to make a drink in your room. Bit of a shame for such a great hotel.
Great management here. The hotel is properly run and you can really see that. They are very friendly. You can really relax and feel at home even if you're far away. Always clean and respectful ambassadors who know their stuff. The future of hotels is now. Check-in is super simple as is check-out.
Super convenient location, bikes at disposal, super clean and easy access. Love. Staff is very available and friendly, rooms are very well equipped and I love the laundry room to iron your stuff in peace with a professional press.
We were in Amsterdam for 5 nights. CitizenM provided a fantastic base to explore from due to the location being close enough to walk to most places in the city (max. 30 mins), with tram and metro stops close by too. The staff were all very friendly and approachable for any questions we had about the area and things to do.
