It’s a very nice hotel location, just a few minutes walking to reach to every where you want, also just 4 or 5 minutes walking to Amsterdam central station to take train, bus, metro or to use a free ferry to go to the other bank Clean room with comfortable bed, A good air conditioner
Location is good. Staff are friendly. They keep your bags for you before check in and after check out which is very helpful. The room is very small. I was in the top floor and u can’t stand properly in most of the bathroom. Overpriced. Windows are not sound proof. The road below is busy and you can hear people talking in the street.
Very good stay in central location. Staff are very helpful & pleasant. Rooms fairly small but that was expected. Minor issues bathroom ‘floods’ when shower was used & signage to bedrooms could be better. Overall a good stay & would book this hotel again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel CC. The location was perfect for walking to Amsterdam Central and exploring the rest of the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly (they even helped me negotiate the maze of stairs to get to our room!). Our room was perfect for what we needed. Comfy bed, great shower and all the basic facilities were covered. Would definitely recommend for a weekend stay in the city.
Nice small hotel with small rooms and a very friendly staff. We slept very well in the bed, which was a queen size dubble bed. Without problems we got an extra duvet, so we each had one. Lots of water on the bathroom floor after showering. But the bathroom is very nice - and also small.
We spent a week at this little hotel, in a room billed as a "small room with a canal view." I would say "tiny" was more accurate, but "canal view" was an understatement. Waking up to a view of the water (more of a little bay rather than a narrow canal) and Damrak -- while still in bed, was a real delight. We watched a boat guy squeegee the windows of his canal boats every morning, and were amazed at the parade of people streaming from Central Station on their way to work. We adapted to the small room, and it was designed in a tasteful modern style, with a nice bathroom and large walk-in shower. There were always two people at the reception desk and we found all of them to be pleasantly helpful. The other side of the hotel faced a busy mostly-pedestrian street that had many small bars and restaurants, along with some other seedier retail shops. That wasn't the nicest street, to our minds, but the 5-minute walk to Central Station was really great because we signed up for several early morning out-of-town tours that left from the station. I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay there again.…
We went to the hotel for two nights and got a room without windows and with an extremely loud and annoying ventilator. It was nearly impossible to sleep there. We asked for a different room but they said there were no free rooms… I never thought that it would be possible to get such a room in a hotel where you pay quite some money. I am very disappointed and if you book here, make sure to NOT get one of those rooms in the basement. We were also not informed that we would get such a room, so please be careful! Other than that the hotel was pretty normal. It wasn’t too dirty and the rooms had everything they said it would have…
Cooperative staff, great location and excellent bathroom. Had a room canal side view that was very quiet when you shut the window. The double size mattress was up against the wall on three sides so if you slept two, one had to crawl over. The shower was excellent but the floor had a slant so it made it easy to touch your toes if you turned uphill. I think there may be considerable variation room to room so would definitely inquire about a larger bed next time. Enjoyed the breakfast at the pancake house next door.
I traveled solo, first time, to Amsterdam. The hotel was literally in view of the train station, where I arrived via Eurostar. The location of this hotel was perfect. Very central and I loved being able to stop by the hotel quickly to drop off purchases or even use my room’s bathroom! Many good restaurants just steps outside of this hotel (especially the BurgerBar). The room itself was very nice, although small even for a solo traveler. I can’t imagine two people sharing that room! However, for me it was great as I had chosen a room with a canal view. I loved my downtime in the room watching the canal boat tours go out. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but for a room with a canal view and larger room.
The hotel is in a fantastic location 5 mins from the station and Dam Square and whilst on a busy street once inside it is very quiet. The room we were allocated upon arrival was ridiculous it was in the attic hard to get to and so tiny nowhere to store anything at all with the smallest single beds. We complained and the be fair we got moved as luckily they had another room we could use if not it would have ruined our break. I would recommend the hotel on the location, comfort, cleanliness and service just make sure they don't put you in the attic!
