Stayed at Hotel Jakarta to celebrate a special birthday. The hotel was a great choice and we had a fantastic experience. The check-in was really smooth, the staff very friendly and with a smile on their face they explained everything. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and relaxing. The hotel itself is a wonder: the wooden surfaces and the inner garden are creating a sense of calmness. Makes you feel you are truly located in a special tropical place. We enjoyed the wellness centre too – the gym was small yet clean, the pool had a nice size and was at the right temperature, while the sauna was very relaxing. The wellness centre was very busy in the evening – it's recommended to go in the morning/afternoon if you prefer less company. The breakfast had a great variety too. We are definitely coming back and I'll gladly recommend this hotel to family and friends.…
Stayed here last week with my mom, we had a great experience! All staff we encountered was helpful and friendly. The view from our room was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great Jakarta Special Massage, which was for sure one of the most relaxing massages I have ever had. Nice size pool with loungers facing 't IJ and good selection at breakfast. Also don't forget to stop for cake and coffee at Bakkerij Westers. Would recommend anyone wanting a short getaway in Amsterdam.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. You don't even feel like you're in Amsterdam. Feels like you're on a tropical island. The room was beautiful the hotel itself was breath taking. Devline at the front desk was great. Super helpful! I had a lot of out with questions i had about getting around the area. Overall it was a great stay. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.
Location is a bit off. But once you figure out the tram and bus, it is such a great place. Spacious rooms, great bar, wonderful breakfast, clean, all positive. We stayed for two days. I will come back again.
As usual, a great stay.Room very nice ,bed comfortable, nice welcome in the room. The breakfast was various ,warm buffet, fruits, cold food,we enjoy. The swimming pool was great. The hotel is very near the centre and there is good connection with bus.
Booked the hotel for the holiday period, must say had a great experience! THe hotel is lovely, food is good. Staff is very friendly and always available. Very clean and welcoming hotel. Surely one to book again.
From parking below, to reception and receptionist, to room to breakfast, all were at top standard. The room was spacious, clean and with nice view. You could open windows and the ac worked well. Coffee and tea in room as well as soaps and ironing set. As well a bathrobe and slippers for the spa and pool. Room was perfect. Breakfast was very tasty and good choice in fresh foods, only drawback was a standard coffee machine. For that money would at least expect 1x special coffee to be order available! The sauna was good but small, the pool area is good for a dip, but can be crowded. The lady at the wellness area was not helpful, not communicative at all. Searched for towels and had to force a hello! But couldn’t care if she was a numb model or not, the rest was nice.
FAs a single traveller I took my Christmas break at The Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam. I arrived on Christmas Eve at around 13:45, although the hotel reception was busy the line moved quickly. I was greeted by Isa who was so welcoming and reminded me we had been in email contact, I was very impressed that she remembered me and the trip for the Festival of Light she had booked for me. Check in was quick and the glass of Christmas prosecco went down well, I was on the 8th floor which had fantastic views of the dock. The room was as stunning as the hotel, it was very modern and clean, with plenty of space. The room had a balcony with a chair were you sit and watch the Amsterdam port. The Balcony had a window style so you could sit there in the rain and close the window. The hotel is on an island and is great for morning walks and views or Amsterdam’s Grand Central station. The shower was a rain style shower with a shower attachment, the room was cleaned daily and it felt clean which is always a good sign at any hotel. There was also a nice sofa were you chill. Walking around the hotel was amazing and stunning. The breakfast is plentiful and well cooked with a wide range of cooked items as well a fruit and fresh pastries and bread. There was a nice bar area too. The wellness centre was very good a nice pool with loungers, but be quick and everyone wants to sit and chill by the pool. The changing rooms were upstairs and regularly cleaned and ease to lock with a plastic key card. The Steam and Sauna were nude and very clean and there was a wet area were you could wash your feet. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Amsterdam’s Grand Central station by the 43 bus which stops every 15 minutes outside the hotel. Again the hotel reception was so helpful and sold me a 48-hour travel pass which you can use on the buses trams and metro. The main bar is also on the 8th floor I loved this bar the views of Amsterdam at night were great and very comfortable seating. The staff were friendly as is everyone in the hotel. The restaurant is very good and the food is very tasty. As a single traveller it is so easy to just blend in, but the staff were so friendly and helpful I felt special. The Christmas menu was good and different from Turkey. All in all, I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Jakarta and would like to thank everyone for a fantastic Christmas 2022 break. I would highly recommend this hotel.…
We arrived on Christmas Day at 9:15 am from our River Cruise. We were two couple who had booked two rooms with King bed well in advance. When we arrived the person checking us, said that he can give us two rooms but none of them are kings bed and not in the same floor. He said he can make it priority but he can not promise that we will get it before 3 pm. But guaranteed that we will get it at 3:00 as this is the checking time. I understand the check-in time policy and did not argue and very politely told him that is ok. Any way we left the luggage and went for a walk and lunch when we came back at 2:00 pm I checked with one of the receptions to see if the room was ready, and she was very rude in answering that the room will be ready at 3:00 pm. At the same time we see that they are checking people in all the time. I was very offended by her attitude towards us, but it was Christmas and I did not want to make it a big deal. It came 3:00 pm and our room is still not ready. When I approached the receptionist and asked them that why our room is not ready she just showed such an attitude like how dare you question us even though I was very polite with her. I asked to talk to the original guy who checked us in the morning and he came to me shouting that when he promises something he will do it and he said I refuse to talk to you anymore. (it is already 3:30 and we do not have our rooms). I demanded to talk to the manager and they told me that she will be with me in few minutes. She was there she was witnessing the mess that was going on but she ignored us and did not come forward to defuse the situation. This hotel has a very nice setting, but you do not feel any friendliness’ there. Very dry atmosphere. The rooms are nice and modern but very dark. The lighting is not good at all and you can not light it with the existing fixtures. We are going back there for Friday and Saturday, and we will try the restaurant and see what the serve is like. Overall, it is an Ok Hotel overpriced for the service.…
We arrived in the hotel on boxing day just after 15.00 hrs. We could park our car without any problems in the parking garage but there was quite a queue when we wanted to check in. The room was more or less as we expected with a great view over the IJ. We had already made a reservation for the dinner and clearly indicated that my wife had a few allergies. The waiter informed us that he already knew but would inform the cook again. We received our starters in about 20 minutes but we expected that not everything was suitable for my wife, so the waiter checked again and we were right. We received the main course one hour later and again there were ingredients that my wife was allergic to. After 2 hours we received the desert and as you will expect the same story. Again it contained eggs which is one of the allergies of my wife. We found the total dinner very overprices, we had to wait much to long and the service was terrible. Breakfast was chaotic. We had to look for about 10 minutes to find a table. To get muesli you had to wait in a queue to get bowl, then get the muesli at another buffet and then start looking for the milk which was at another buffer. The range of food was quite basic and the location of the food did not make sense. The limited staff was more concerned with answering questions from the guests than replenishing the food and clearing dirty tables. A considerable amount was asked for our stay and then you also expect something special. Other hotels offer the same for half the price. We found the overall experience mediocre and therefore we were disappointed. …
