Hotel Jakarta's facilities are beautiful, and the photos don't lie. However, the hotel is quite far from the center and the funky neighborhoods in Amsterdam. This could be easily solved with complimentary bicycles, but instead, the hotel charges 17 euros for bike rentals, a sort of a joke if you are already spending 200 euros a night. They also charge 35 euros to use the parking lot. And if you want a room with a view, even though the hotel was empty, 25 euros. I mean, cmon, where did the concept of hospitality go? A Hotel in this price range should do better than this, especially after the Covid 19 crisis in the sector.
I took a day at the Jakarta hotel and took a suite, the hotel is very clean and the people are super helpfull and friendly! Want a place to empty your head? Take a night at the Jakarta hotel! 10/10!!!
The foods were good enough. The architecture and the interior design of this hotel were gorgeous. Nice indoor tropical garden. Located a bit far from the downtown but still approachable by bike or uber, although it could take longer time to go by walk. But overall we've had good experience there.
We had a great stay, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. As a surprise our kids arranged an upgrade to a junior suite (thanks Lars from reception for taking on this request from my daughter so enthusiastically). And very nice that we were given a full suite, room 639. Very nice gesture, and a hand written note from the manager and staff on the bed at arrival. I can really recommend this hotel, and also booking a suite (will do so next time :-), it is a unique experience! All staff is very friendly and helpful, super nice atmosphere in the hotel. Also unique for Amsterdam is the parking space available! We will definitely return!
Stayed here for a weekend and had a wonderful time, everything is well organised with the customer in mind. Despite Corona plenty of things to do and see in and around the hotel. Dinner/drinks outside are a must IMHO. Can’t wait for the restaurant to re-open, food was wonderful but so much nicer when served aa it is supposed to be. The suite we stayed in had spectacular views and sunset is too beautifull.
