Detailed Reviews
Came here for a 3 day break in January with my husband and would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here as its lovely, decor is very modern and fashionable, reception staff were always so lovely and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable and location was great as not far from airport (we used the hotel airport shuttle service €7.50 each) and short tram journeys to all main spots. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to use the spa facilities. We ordered breakfast for our last day, but I personally was disappointed with the choice and price you paid, as all i wanted was lots of croissants but they were all finished 😢 and we went before 10am on the sunday morning. Would like to thank the hotel staff for my birthday present on leaving, it really was a lovely surprise 🥰

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for three nights. We arrived in Amsterdam at around 9:30am and got to the hotel at 10am, we were told our room was ready as soon as we got there so that was a relief! We paid €100 deposit and €38 in city tax which was ok as we were made aware of these charges by Jet 2. The room was beautiful and the bed was huge, extremely clean and good views. We purchased two, three day tram travel tickets which were €19 each but definitely worth it as taxi's are very expensive. Tram stop was only a couple of minutes walk from the front of the hotel and took us straight to Dam Square, the number 17 we found was the quickest and the trams come around every 5 minutes so really useful. After being out and about we were tired from travelling so we decided to return to our room and order room service. We had nachos, chicken drumsticks and a chicken pesto pizza, all tasted absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. We didnt use the pool or spa but heard from others at the hotel we should have done as very relaxing. Check out was quick and easy, our deposit was returned in full except from a small amount was taken for a couple of drinks we had from the vending machine in the room. Lidl and Jumbo supermarket are two minutes up the road and very cheap. The overall experience was extremely positive and on our next trip to Amsterdam we would definitely be returning here.

We just spent 3 nights in this amazing hotel, from our arrival until departure it was brilliant.
All staff from reception, bars and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful
The hotel is spotless clean and very well decorated.
Our room was spacious and well decorated, again spotless. The only one thing which stopped me giving 10/10 was the fact that the shower room/bathroom had a clear glass door and the toilet was separate, which was fine apart from there not being a sink in the toilet cubicle to wash your hands.
This apart, I cannot fault the place. The food was lovely, room service was great and very prompt. Reasonably priced too. Drunks I thought were a little expensive but I suppose Amsterdam is compared to the UK.
The swimming pool was a great size and towels, robes and slippers are provided. There’s also a good size gym. I never used the sauna p, the changing room is open with no cubicles.
In terms of location, there is a tram stop about 5 minutes walk which takes you right into the heart of the city. The hotel sells the tickets for 24/48 hours etc, well wort it. The tram takes about 20 minutes.
They also offer a shuttle service to the airport for €9.50pp or a taxi (if ordered by the hotel) is around €32-€35. Regular taxis take around €50 for the 10 minute drive to the airport.
There is a Lidl and Jumbo supermarket about 10-15 min walk from the hotel too.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a nice area.

This hotel and the members of staff were exceptional.
Our first time visiting Amsterdam and very easy to get too from the airport.
I believe the colleague who checked us in was named Lisa and she went above and beyond to give us a warm welcoming. She gave us indepth details of recommended locations in Amsterdam, very knowledgeable and kind.
A very strong asset to this hotel and they should be very lucky.
She supplied us with the 72hr transport card which came in handy, you can get on any tram within the city.
We did a lot of exploring just from walking as the city was about 25min walk away from the hotel, if walking isn't for you, the tram stops were only 5mins away.
The rooms were cleaned at a high standard every day, if you didn't wish for them to be serviced, you'd gain back €5 a day from the €100 deposit that is required along side the city tax.
After a long day, the free pool was relaxing to check out. They have more facilities like the gym/sauna etc that was also available.
I spent 3 nights here before continuing travels over to Cologne.
I certainly recommend staying here.

We arrived very early for our 3pm check in as our flight was an early one. We were both hot and tired so very grateful for an early check in. Our room was a good size with a comfy bed and huge pillows. We had a bath and a shower in a bathroom with a glass door, thankfully the toilet was separate with a normal door! We had a kettle and an espresso machine with daft cardboard cups. (We bought our own china mugs in the local Jumbo (our local supermarket). We didn’t pay for breakfast as it was expensive at €20 each, we bought milk, croissants and bananas locally and enjoyed them at our leisure. We bought a 7 day travel pass at the hotel which covered the trams, buses and metro, a great way to get around. The tram stop was only 10 mins walk and they were every 10 mins, we used them loads! Eating out in Central Amsterdam is expensive so we either stayed local (recommend Norma’s pizza & Cafe Oslo) or bought a room picnic in Jumbo or Albert Hein. We visited Anne Frank’s House (rebook a month in advance) which was excellent but sad. Van Gogh Museum ( also booked in advance) interesting. We went to the zoo which was excellent! We also went on a canal boat cruise with cheese and wine (booked via Trip Advisor). The Red Light District was very busy and an experience!! If you have a weak bladder then don’t visit Central Amsterdam, it’s a nightmare especially for ladies. If you find a public toilet then it’s rare and out of order! Most cafe’s charge to use their loo even if you’ve eaten there!
For a 4 star hotel I would expect clean windows, we were in room 501 which had a nice view but a noisy road with the window open. If the window was closed and the air con on it was quiet and comfortable. We didn’t have a fridge in our room which would’ve been amazing, the fridge was missing in ours. No ice machine on our floor despite the lift signage saying there was. The towels were small and a bit ragged in places, maybe the cleaning in our room could’ve been better.
Overall, we were very comfortable, the room was mainly quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful, a great place to stay.

Dear Beebutler, Thank you for writing such an extensive review about your stay. These are all good tips for tourists who want to visit our hotel and Amsterdam itself. Yes the Anne Fank house is definitely recommended to book in advance, it is sometimes fully booked a month in advance. Once again great to hear that you had a good time, hope to see you next time. We went to this hotel in November 2022. I’d say the hotel looked lovely, it was modern. Couldn’t fault the reception staff. The room was nice, the windows were very very dirty so it wasn’t easy to see out. The toilet was in a separate cubicle next to the main door so you have to walk into the shower room to wash your hands. The shower door was completely clear glass and so was the shower room door so not really ideal if you’re staying with Friends or family members that aren’t “close” if you will. It wasn’t a massive issue but it wasn’t ideal. The restaurant menu was very limited so we ate out both nights. The sky bar was lovely, staff were amazing and the cocktails were great. Hotel isn’t in the centre but its very easy to get to. Walk 8 mins to the tram station Surinameplein, board the 17 tram right to the centre. Tickets are 3€ for 1 hour. We used the GVB app to buy tram tickets and it works amazing. We paid €14 each for a 48 hour ticket that u can use as many times as you like. Overall, hotel was nice it done the trick but I probably wouldn’t come back, I’d be more central next time.

There is little to fault this hotel on really. We stayed 4 nights in May and found the hotel to be very clean and well appointed. We chose to stay in a standard room which was on floor 6 overlooking the main road and tram way however there was no noise.
The room had everything that we needed except for a fridge and proper cups to be able to store milk and make a proper hot drink. We liked the separate toilet area and the shower was always warm and powerful.
We hired bikes from the hotel which turns out to be quite an expensive place to hire from so bare that in mind. We did find that the hotel was quite far out from the main things and the tram stopped fairly early if you planned to stay out in the city.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but since it was a birthday we were gifted a drink in the bar up on the top floor which was very nice. It does get busy up there so be warned.
The swimming pool is small but nice and refreshing. It is a little odd to walk down a corridor near a reception desk to the pool in your swim wear.
Getting into the city was easy and you could buy tram tickets from reception. The tram stop was a 5 minute walk and trams were regular. We had a taxi from the airport but if we stayed again we would get the train and then the tram as it took around 25 minutes to complete the journey on our return.

We had a nice stay. Room clean and modern, staff friendly, wellness centre is average and could do with sauna.
I found it ridiculous to pay £120 a night and not have breakfast included in that price for a hotel like this

Stayed at the WestCord Fashion Hotel in Amsterdam with my boyfriend in Feb 2020 for 3 nights. Whilst the hotel is not situated in central Amsterdam, it was easy to access from the Airport via train and tram. There is a tram station which is a 5 min walk from the hotel which takes you directly into the city center and runs throughout the day and into the night. Our room was ready upon arrival at 12pm which was great as we expected not to be able to check in until later that afternoon. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything that we needed for a 3 night stay. Sadly didn't get to experience the Sky Bar or the hotel pool so cannot comment on those aspects. Overall we had a really pleasant stay at the WestCord Fashion Hotel and we would definitely stay here again if we returned to Amsterdam.

It has 24hr reception
It’s about a 10 minute train ride to lelylaan station after which is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel. It’s a pretty secluded enough area so I wouldn’t walk it that late at night. Other option is get the tram when u get off at lelylaan to surinamplein and that is 5-10 min walk from hotel. But a busier area so feel safer.
Norma restaurant is around the corner and pizzas were amazing.
