Perfectly located, with beautiful art pieces, technology filled rooms, extra comfy beds, quiet corridors and very helpful staff. Everyone we met on this stay was kind, considerate and genuinely friendly. Will be back for sure!
overall it was a bad experience. I understand the appealing of giving people control and stay in a (kind of) modern hotel, but that could not be it. and shouldn't -- you shouldn't overcharge your clients and then ask them to be their own host. the rules of hospitality are clear and should be respected, especially in a 4 star hotel. if l stay in an hostel l know what to expect, right? the term luxury does not apply to this hotel -- it's not luxury because there are a bunch of neon in the shower but then ask people to go at ground floor and ask for a toothbrush. i couldn't even toast my bread in the morning which is ridiculous since it should be a 4 star hotel. also nobody care to serve drinks at the table, you need to get it yourself, like you are at starbucks, with waiters shouting orders.…
I am used to citizenM, but I have to say a special thanks to one person, Neim, who is very welcoming, friendly, and professional. I was supposed to change the hotel because I did a wrong booking thinking it was downtown, but I ended up staying here also because of the hospitality and kindness.
Amsterdam is a lovely city, it is. But if you'd like to embellish your experience even further, then this oasis of a hotel is just for you. It's not just a place to crash after a long day exploring the city - it's an experience in itself. Very pleasing to the eye and feels like home when returning after a long day. The room is clean (of course it is!) and the bed is so big that you can freely choose in which direction you would like your head to be while sleeping. The common areas are a treat and so is the staff and the food and.. It's located at Amsterdam Zuid (south) and it's really convenient to get to the Center with the metro, stationed just 6 minutes from the hotel. And to get to the airport from the same station. And the hotel is situated in a calm and composed neighborhood that's so soothing after the huz and buzz of the city center. So - all in all a great experience for introverts and extraverts alike and aesthetically very pleasing.…
Everything is there what you need! Very friendly service and good personal. Location convenient, you are everywhere in under 15 min. Bed very comfortable. Thought the space of the room would be small. But it felt very big because of the window and lightning.
I will repeat my stay at South Amsterdam forever and ever. Very skilfull staff, first class facilities and a wonderful touch of Dutch warthmless and hospitality. God bless all of them, they are both professional and enthusiastic.
Great location , near train and trams station. Great value, staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable seating in the sitting rooms and bar area, great to see the hotel busy. Recommend for weekend visit, and if you have to work whilst there, plenty space, and refreshments available all day and evening
As a global business traveler I prefer hotels which are "different", but provide solid convenience as well. The design of the very small rooms (width ~2.2 m) involves a toilet and a shower in glass confinements in the middle of the room. Due to the tininess of the room, you need to pass either the shower and/or the toilet to reach the bed and the ridiculously small working desk from the door. There is no closet for cloths or sufficient space for opening the suitcase outside the bed. The bed is too small for everyone taller than 1.9m. and has one side access only. I have no idea how 2 people could survive in this super small room, at least you can test how intimate you really can get with your partner when, you they the toilet or shower just centimeters away from you. All very nicely designed, but really not practical for just using it. Breakfast was average, but OK Beware: there is no parking provided and the next public one is a 15+ mins walk. There are very few places directly in front in the street and you need to be reeeeealy lucky to get one. You are entirely on your own in organizing a place for your car, really annoying. Check-in is self- service, but the staff will assist you. But generally everyone needs help and there are too few staff people to help every one in-time albeit there are ~10-12 terminals. Unfortunately, the system broke down during check out time in the morning occasionally what caused some people to miss their connections, obviously it is better to check out either early or late. Really great staff, though, but I did not feel cozy and comfy... Quite nice desgin, but functionality has to be secured in the first place.…
Great experience with great people. A big smile on their head it was really a pleasure The hotel is plently of tech gadgets with super nice furniture I'm really recommending For business or leisure ! I'm a big fan now
Perfectly situated for the business I needed to conduct in the south end of town, yet still easy to get to the attractions of the old city. Delicious breakfasts. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
