Loved this place ! My kids are still talking about this hotel! The restaurant, the staff, the location was all perfect ! The shower/steam room was my fav! When we arrived our baby vomited everywhere it was so early in the morning and they were so accommodating! They made sure we had a place to clean up , food to eat and got us in the room before noon ! FYI the window are sound and bullet proof!

Responded 4 Oct 2022
Dearest Guest, Warmest regards from Hotel TwentySeven. We are thrilled to read your glowing review, thank you! My team can’t wait to welcome you and your family back, in the most comfort. All the details you’ve mentioned are so rewarding to read, as we’ve built and designed the hotel; as well as created our staff trainings with our guests’ comfort and needs first. I am glad you enjoyed the marble steam shower and soundproof windows, also some of my favorite elements! On behalf of my entire team, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back as our special guests. Please email reservations@hoteltwentyseven.com directly whenever you wish to return, we will be happy to extend you a special offer! Warm wishes from Amsterdam, Eric Toren – Owner of Hotel TwentySeven

The service demonstrated by all staff is of an exceptional level. You really feel like a king and queen that is no longer a given in hotels. The penthouse suite is an exquisite 3 room suite with lovely art on the walls and a perfect view on the Rokin. All furniture matched magnificantly. Although in the heart of a noisy city, the walls and windows are truly sound proof and the blinds prevented the sun llight to enter the rooms. Off course the room was very clean and the room management system was easy to operate to match the lights with the scene/audience. The spanish waiter surprised us with excellent cocktails in the bar. The breakfast served in the room was overwhelming and provided food and beverages in abundance. We sincerely recommend this hotel for just a stay or a birthday gift as in our case.

Everything about this place is over the top and in a really good way. Location is incredible (right in Dam square), rooms are amazingly unique (did you know Lalique or chopard made toiletries) and then there is the service. Being a 16 suite hotel, they are able to personalize everything for you and provide you the utmost care while you are with them and turns out after you leave them as well. In our particular case, this became important because we had mistakenly dropped a small jewel pouch in the room and realized it only after we got to Paris. Reached out to the hotel and had little hope we would get any of it back. Not at the Twentyseven, they followed up until they finally found the pouch and got it shipped to us overnight by DHL to london with great courtesy. This is why the Twentyseven is the only place I would stay at in Amsterdam . Their restaurant is well worth the Michelin star and makes for a great dining experience, especially with the wine pairing.
Can’t recommend them more for an over the top and amazing holiday in Amsterdam.

It’s our last night in beautiful Amsterdam and we are so very grateful to have had this amazing experience at hotel twenty seven.
Location gets an A. Located right in dam square it’s walking distance to everywhere. Not on canal, but frankly I think this location is more central, easily accessible to train station, etc.
Room gets an A+. Wow! Attention to detail is superb. I think our room grade was the lowest, but it was still huge, king size bed, huge windows with lots of light, wonderful bed linens, and nice seating area. The little things in the room are what really set this hotel apart from other 5 stars we’ve stayed (including Four Seasons). Bathroom floors are heated, shower has double rainfall that doubles as a steam room (amaaazing). Huge jacuzzi tub, double sinks and separate toilet room with 5star bidet. DYSON hairdryer (now I’m hooked) was a treat. Lighting in the room can be controlled and adjusted to different moods with an App they let you have during the stay. Big closets, the decor is very rich and luxurious, bed and pillows are like a cloud. Had some frustrating issues with the TV streaming, but they quickly fixed and were very apologetic.
Service A++
Everyone from the butler to the housekeeper to the hotel manager were all amazing, super friendly and warm. Everyone just wants you to have a great experience and you can tell they want to work there!
Food B+
I’m not a foodie by any means so take my rating with a grain of salt. We had the bolognese pasta which was excellent. My salad was ok, drinks at the bar were really great. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is super cozy.
Value: overall I give this an A+ compared to other 5 star hotels, you get a lot better service and feel special staying here. The attention to detail is really what makes it a truly unique experience.

This has been one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve stayed in luxury hotels throughout the world. The location is perfect, on Dam Square, center of Amsterdam. Everything is an easy walk from the hotel, but there are also tram stops right outside the hotel. The air conditioning worked very well. You can control everything, shades, lights, temp thru an iPad the hotel provides. Just playing with the light colors will entertain you for a while. The bathroom is out of this world, the shower has 2 shower heads and it’s also a steam shower, let’s say it can be a very romantic shower if you choose so. The jacuzzi in the room was also very good after a long day of walking, we were afraid would make the room very humid but had no issues. The bedroom also very comfortable, and best part for me as a light sleeper is that after closing door and shades is completely dark, even if sunny outside. This allowed us to sleep in. Breakfast is open until 11am, which was a godsend since we were exhausted and slept in few times. Breakfast is a la carte or you can choose the “breakfast experience” which we thought was way too much food for breakfast. The hotel has less than 20 rooms I think so they get to know you very quickly and call you by name. My husband was at first very reticent to stay at this hotel due to the decor, by the end of our stay he was in love with it and kept saying how much he loved it. The decor may seem over the top but it works perfectly. We did not have diner at the 1 Michelin star restaurant at the hotel, did use the excellent bar, everyone was very caring and we felt very well taken care of. We set up pick up to the airport very early in the morning and had no issues, they even offered to pack some breakfast for us since so early. The views are also unbeatable in my opinion. We stayed in the Grand Dam Square suite and for us it was perfect. When we go back to Amsterdam we know where we’ll be staying!

We have had the privilege of staying in some of the best hotels around the world, and Hotel Twentyseven has just become one of our absolute favourites! The service throughout is impeccable. Our suite came with butler service. Instead of bringing us an iron they took our ironing and did it for us. That kind of thing.
We stayed in a luxurious two bedroom suite (#503) which had a huge lounge room, very comfortable beds, two fabulous en-suite bathrooms with double showers that turn into a steam room (which I loved), another beautiful powder room, master suite with a walk-in wardrobe. The whole apartment was huge and beautifully done. It complements the old majestic building it is situated in, right in the epicenter centre of Amsterdam.
Breakfast takes place in the Restaurant Bougainvillea which I will review separately. But it is an experience in itself. The restaurant service is some of the best ever. Everyone is fun, attentive, polite without being stiff, dynamic without being rushed...
I would recommend Hotel 27 for special occasions as well as luxurious business travel and families who appreciate having space and absolute comfort on their Amsterdam stay.
Hotel Twentyseven is enough of a reason to visit Amsterdam!

Hotel TwentySeven – Amsterdam
The term luxury is frequently used within the hospitality industry, but true luxury is actually quite rare. It is as much about the experience as it is about the actual hotel and facilities it offers.
Hotel TwentySeven Amsterdam is true luxury in every way.
Checking in, in the comfort of your own suite and not having to stand at a desk is the first small but important detail that gives you a great first impression. Then comes the second but truly Wow experience… The suite!
Each suite is designed to offer a rich yet modern feel with all the lights, entertainment, air-conditioning, and internet controlled on your own tablet. No detail is missed. The interior design is opulent and designed for maximum comfort. The bedroom is like your own little cocoon where total darkness and zero noise offers guests a perfect sleep. The bathroom offers its own personal steam shower and the bedroom has its own extra-large jacuzzi, another perfect opportunity for more relaxation.
Each guest has their own personal butler and every request is only a phone call away.
The hotel has its own Michelin Star restaurant called Restaurant Bougainville that serves the most amazing fine dining experience which I will cover in another separate review. There is also a lavish cocktail bar where each cocktail is created with the skill of a master mixologist. The Bohemian rhapsody was my personal favourite.
Breakfast is another unique experience where you can choose the “Michelin Star Tasting Experience”, which I highly recommend. This is a true taste sensation experience with the best of ingredients used to create amazing tasting dishes.
Overall my stay at Hotel TwentySeven was one that will live with me for many years and for anyone looking to stay somewhere extra special while in Amsterdam, Hotel TwentySeven should be your only consideration.
Truly a great luxury Boutique hotel of the world!

Friendly check-in! Bottle waters awaited us in a really neat room! We were in a newly renovated spacious room. Bathroom is medium sized with a large shower, seating area is very large with a mini fridge , coffee maker and microwave. A small wall separates the bed from the seating area. Headed down to check out the breakfast area! There is a outside area to seat and have drinks or just visit. Upon arriving there is a small beverage fridge with all kinds of drinks ranging from alcohol to soft drinks. Loved the hotel! Highly recommend this place. A must stay when your in town!

Like mentioned in a few of the reviews below, a stay at hotel twenty-seven can best be described as an experience. Where other hotels strive to meet the ultimate guest-friendly experience, twenty-seven has excelled in this area. From design to location to staff everything is above and beyond luxury and comfort. From the moment you book they make you feel like a king beyond kings. We have tried 2 of suites now and are surely looking forward to the rest, we will definitely be back!
Kind regards,

Our new NUMBER 1 Luxury Hotel WORLDWIDE. From the moment you set foot in the lobby you are welcomed by a smartly dressed, intelligent staff. The room is presented by a Butler who gave a briefing on the numerous amenities. Our room, #404 was on a corner with spectacular views of The Royal Palace, and the Dam Square. The room was soundproof with 4 layers of glass. Everything is Uber-High quality. The bathroom is fit for Royalty. Two automatic bidet toilets, dual shower with steam room, spa bathtub, heated bathroom floors. Decorated by a genius. Absolutely loved it! Oh, and get the Special breakfast. Fine dining in the morning. Beyond compare.
Now the real reason we came across the pond was for dinner at Bougainville. Top notch experience. Have a drink in the bar prior to dinner. Hip and sexy environment. Follow it up with A Michelin Star treat, the Chef's tasting Menu. We stay in a lot of 5 Star hotels and dine in Michelin Starred restaurants. This is right there with the best in the world (think Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Four Seasons Bora Bora). We will definitely be back. It's a reason to make a stop over in Amsterdam.

Thank you for your question! Yes, it is possible to have twin-beds in the Master Bedroom of the Penthouse suite. There is no additional charge, we simply have to be informed prior to your arrival.
Best wishes,

I did not stay in that suite, but I can say that our room was spectacular, I doubt you will be disappointed by anything this hotel has to offer.
