My husband and I recently spent an amazing week in Amsterdam and beyond. Having The Hendricks Hotel as our home base was such a pleasure. The desk staff was efficient and helpful. Erica and Rose were especially friendly and accommodating which we really appreciated. We had planned trips to Keukenhof, Almere for Floriade, and Haarlem to see the flower floats so the location of the hotel within walking distance to Centraal Station was perfect. A unexpected bonus was the location of the seven story OBA, Amsterdam Library, also within walking distance. We returned to the seventh floor restaurant and observation deck a couple of times. Our Kings Quarters room was spacious with a seating area which made our week long stay very comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a great job every day. All in all we had a memorable vacation and are happy we chose to stay at The Hendricks.…
We booked the large family room and I was a bit hesitant that it was in the basement but it was actually great. We loved the size of the room and it was quiet. We traveled with an 8 & 9-year-old and the bed set up was perfect. There was a nice sofa to sit on to watch TV. My favorite part about this hotel was the ability to make a cappuccino anytime we wanted. That was awesome!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hendricks Hotel. Service was friendly and appropriate and the room was delightful. And the bathroom floors were heated which is luxurious (even if you don’t think it’s going to be luxurious). I considered pulling the linens off the bed and sleeping on the bathroom floor. I understand some reviews which indicate that breakfast might not be the very best for the price (we would consider it very nice but maybe not excellent) but I would see it a very minor blemish on an otherwise very nice stay. And did I mention that the bathroom floors were heated?
Exceptional stay at The Hendrick’s Hotel. Staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble with very good recommendations for places to eat, see and visit. Excellent location in a quiet area close to Central Station. The cozy lobby/ sitting area was a wonderful welcome after a day of aimless wandering or exploring Amsterdam. Complimentary coffee to residents was, surprisingly, very good. The large room we stayed in was at the front of the hotel with views towards the waterfront. Would definitely stay again.
Well located at walking distance from the center and facing the canal. This 4 star hotel has a very charming cosy lobby with free water, coffee and tea and where breakfast is served. We had 2 rooms : the 21 was perfect on the 3rd floor with a canal view, and the number 2 for our 3 children located in the -1 but a bit dark as windows are small and highly positioned. Rooms are spacious and clean and staff is nice. No parking is available but they have a company that can park the car for you at a fee (40 euros first day and then 35 a day). Overall very good experience.
